Thank you for the strat but was very unforgiving! Had to run it a few times and hope that Pilfer didnt crit. I used Crimson Whelpling P/S (2/1/1) Emmigosa P/S (1/2/2) and Twilight Clutch-Sister P/S (1/2/2) - I used this script below, had to do it about 4 times before I won:

This worked perfectly for me. I used S/S Chimaeraling, and P/B Clutch-Sister. She had about 132HP left when Pilfer died.

I was *just* missing killing him due to RNG, so I changed two things:
- at Round 4, I did another Moonfire instead of Arcane Blast for a tiny bit extra damage.
- when Twilight Clutch Sister came in, I did Twilight Fire, Prismatic Barrier, Pass, Twilight Meteorite. The DoT from the Twilight Fire is what helped get him down and is less risky than counting on Tail Sweep RNG.

Note that the Nether Faerie Dragon cannot be S/S or P/P - it will take 571 + 762 = 1,333 damage which is more than the health those two breeds have. (edited)

Pretty frustrating fight. I used the *exact* breeds in the guide but I was not able to defeat him using the steps listed. My Twilight Clutch Sister was always destroyed before I could get the last meteor off.

I was able to finally beat him by using Prismatic Barrier immediately after bringing in Twilight Clutch Sister the second time, passing, and then using Twilight Meteor / Tail Sweep / Tail Sweep.

first time failed as I forgot to pass on ice barrier and I destroyed it, then 2 times emmigossa was critted before she got claw off, last try worked as it is written

I didnt have Crimson Whelpling or Twilight Clutch-Sister. This is the strategy I used. It worked on the second try for me, with some high hits and one crit.

Emigosa X, 2, 2 P/S
Nether Faerie Dragon 2, 2, X S/B
Bronze Whelpling 2, X, 1 H/S

1 - Ice Tomb, Emigosa then dies to Antaen Cannon, bring in Nether Faerie Dragon
2 - Arcane Blast
3 - Arcane Blast
4 - Arcane Blast
5 - Arcane Blast
6 - Life Exchange
7- Arcane Blast.
8 - Pass, Nether Faerie Dragon dies, in comes Bronze Whelpling
9 - Lift-Off
10 - Lift-Off Hits
11 - Tail Sweep to victory. Didnt get to try Early Advantage here, but it might also be viable once he brings your Bronze Whelpling to low hp.

As well as most of the other hard match ups in argus, this is very RNG dependent. if he gets a crit on you, you will have to restart the fight. I had a few attempts where i would leave him with 14 hp or something and die, so you also have to hope for high hits or crits. On my first attempt, when Bronze Whelpling came in, Pilfer had close to 800hp, couldnt kill him. On the second, he was closer to 450. Killed him with 2 final Tail Sweeps.

I was also trying out a different strategy using Spawn of Onyxia P/B 2,X,1 instead of Bronze Whelpling. Using Wild Magic on Emigosa at the start, dropping 1 Arcane Blast from step 5, and was also getting close but unsatisfactory results. Maybe another breed is more successful. Hope this helps someone.

I used Albino Chimaeraling 2,2,1 B/B instead of the Bronze Whelpling. Step 11 Tail Sweep got close (8 hp) but just didn't do the job. So after Lift-Off hit, I used Call Darkness, then the Tail Sweeps. Killed Pilfer with first Tail Sweep.

This failed the first time thru, so retried and it worked perfectly, Pilfer dying with the Lift off from the Crimson whelp (turn 16-17). Did not need to bring in Twilight Clutch-Sister to finish off. My TCS breed is P/B, not sure if it has anything to do with success, as I did lose the first time thru. But, wanted to mention it, just in case anyone wants to know. Thanks for this strategy!
