If your Fel Pup keeps dying, try an Elder Python (2,1,1) instead. Use Sting and then Poison Fang, rest as the guide suggests.

I used an S/S Zandalari Kneebiter (2/2/x) since I didn't have the S/S Anklerender. I also didn't have Moon Moon so I put Xu-Fu in, but he didn't even get a chance to attack before Gloamwing died to Hunting Party.

This worked perfectly after a few tries. The randomness was because of slicing wind, if the cinder pup can't get volcano off, restart.

Used Thaumaturgical Piglet 2-0-2 Mischief 0-1-1 and zandalari kneebiter P/P 2-2-1 i tried several other suggestions from here w/ no luck honestly i believe its just rng on its 2 or 3 attacks and ur chance of criting but this set up worked well turn 1 pass mischief curse fel immolate kneebiter caw leap and party then piglet dash gg

Here's what worked for me. I used S/S Nether Faerie Dragon, Vengeful Porc and S/S Zandalari Kneebiter. Started off with dragon getting zapped, then Porcupette comes up, spirit spikes and powerball. Not that effective, but whatev. In comes Kneebiter, Primal Cry (which knocks gloamwing back to being slower than both kneebiter and dragon), black claw and hunting party 1X till dead. In comes Faerie Dragon, Moonfire and Arcane blast, and Gloamwing is dead.

You can use just about any pet for the first pet. I didn't even use mine thanks to finally getting goo RNG (8th try btw...). I was using Feline Familiar > Moon Moon because she also has a magic ability (onyx bite), and FF is way more common to have (and good in many battles)

Works fine for me with a P/B Anklerender. Same issue as all the Mac'Aree fights, RNG dice roll on restarting for any crit or multiple hit; got lucky on this one!

Mischief did the trick. Any strat that relies on a 1/3 chance is leaving too much to chance (13 straight times it didn't work for me) but Mischief can survive 2 hits (2/3 chance to win (got it on 2nd try)).

I beat this with Warpstalker Runt (2/1/2), Son of Skum (2/1/2), and Xu-Fu, Cub of Xuen (1/2/2). Warpstalker Runt can be any of the stalker beasts that have Blink Strike. Son of Skum can probably be any pet that learns Stampede as long as it has 1400 or more HP and can survive a Predatory Strike plus Slicing Wind, but I just picked the sturdiest Stampede user I had.

1. Blinkstrike
2. Lightning Shield
3+. Stampede until you get swapped with Xu-Fu
1. Moonfire
2+. Spirit Claws until you get swapped with your Warpstalker
1. Blinkstrike to victory

Should be a pretty RNG-free fight as long as there aren't any Predatory Strike crits.

Definitely good strat. Xu-fu got killed before he could land any spirit claws, but Gloam was weak enough to finish off in two blinks.

I used Xu Fu, just to take the first hit, than Mischief - Fell Immolate than Forboding Curse, pass, Zandalary Footlasher P/P got swapped in - Exposed wounds, Hunting Party and voila.

OMG. Got this to work 1st try thanks to some very lucky RNG. Fel Pup only got hit once by Slicing Winds, squeezed off a Fel Immolate and this killed Gloamwing after the Anklerender died. I had Xu-Fu as back up in 1st slot with a Moonfire to finish him off if needed.

I used a strat similar to the one on wowhead with the scaled Basilisk, Thaumaturgical pig and feline familiar.. start with basilisk and feign, pig is swapped in arcane dash and ooze touch, swap back to basilisk, feline comes in onyx bite x2.

If folks are having difficulty with the breed requirement for the Zandalari Anklerender or RNG is just not being kind to you, I utilized a modified strategy suggested by AliceinAcidLand (alternative 2) that you might find helpful; didn't even need to utilize my Slot 1 pet at the end:

Xu-Fu: 1-2-X
Kovok: 1-X-1
Zandalari Footslasher (P/S) : 2-2-2

Xu-Fu, pass. Kovok forced in.
Poison Fang
Black Claw
Pass. Footslasher forced in.
Exposed Wounds.
Hunting Party.
Pass. Footslasher dies. Xu-Fu forced in.
(Gloamwing died from the dots here; but Xu-Fu was prepared to drop a Moonfire.)

Very heavy dependant on RNG. Even if you manage to get Hunting Party off, Worst Fear will almost always miss (only 50% chance to land)...

I appreciate the effort of the OP, but this is a much better strat, imo. With the original, I was having a fine old time (not - as in over 20 attempts without success), even getting my Anklerender swapped in on the FIRST turn MORE THAN ONCE, which shouldn't happen, obviously. But even setting aside those oddities, with the OP you are basically hoping/praying the mob does NOT get multiple slices, or you are cactus. I mean more so than this one, which yes does that in it as well, BUT it hits harder. GJ Vic - worked first time for me also. BUT be prepared for a few disappointments on this one. It's the hardest encounter I've seen so far, and I'm almost done.

I don't know what you guys were doing, as my Zandalari Anklerenders could not get him below 50% with one Hunting Party. I did Leap the second turn, then used Hunting Party, and finished it with my third pet, Lost Netherpup. But that could be substituted by any hard-hitting pet.

Got this one first try using Ban-Fu (monk class hall pet, but any pet with a Magic type basic attack will do), Xu-Fu, using Vengeance and Moonfire, and an s/s Zandalari (doesn't matter which one, as long as you have Black Claw/Hunting Party).
I started with Ban-Fu, got swapped to Xu-Fu. Used Vengeance and then Moonlight, died to swap ability. Zandalari comes in, I used Black Claw and Hunting Party and got off two rounds of Hunting party since i was now faster than him. Zandalari dies to swap ability, then your Ban-Fu (any beast with magic type basic attack) comes in and uses Magic hit while Gloamwing is debuffed and he died. I should note....i got this first try but i also got a lucky crit with Moonfire and I got lucky rng with Slicing Wind hits.

I was able to do this with my Zandalari Anklerender being P/B. My trouble was with my Fel Pup dying before I could get off Fel Immolate.

Moon moon isnt really mandatory. I just won without even having to swap back to my #1 pet (Got lucky with slicing winds I guess). I used Xu-fu instead moon moon as he got moonfire

I used the Fel Piglet for the second pet taking Fel Immolate and Headbutt. When the Piglet was swapped in I used Headbutt on the off chance it would stun (it didn't) and then Fel Immolate. I also used Xu-Fu as the first pet and popped Moonfire for the final attack.

Really hard time with this one. I eventually got it to work with the following.

Moon Moon 1/1/2
Twilight 2/2/2
Zandalari Anklerender 2/2/2

1. Pass (Twilight comes in)
2. Call Darkness
3. Surge of Light
4. Twilight Fire
5. Pass(Zandalari Anklerender comes in)
6. Black Claw
7. Hunting Party (till death, Moon Moon comes in)
8. Moon Fang

Tested it twice and it worked both times. Good Luck!

This works well, just need to hope you don't get hit by too many slicing winds which is with pretty much all the fights anyway :). I used a p/s anklerender which is still faster after flying racial falls off.
