6	Loolie#1812	This strategy was based on Cataerei's strat for this fight (also listed in the alternatives here). I could not get it to work as written, so this is the strategy I used. It is very similar to Cataerei's strat, and I would not have defeated this w/o having his/hers as a baseline. The original doesn't quite work post 9.0, however, so give this one a shot. It's been tested by several other people, as well, so I hope it's helpful. You can use any Zandalari Raptor with Black Claw and Hunting Party, but it MUST be a P/P breed. Your 3rd pet can be any pet with Decoy, but use the one with the most Health for best result. 11	Tock#1121	I was having absolutely no luck with every other strategy available, so came up with this. *Be forewarned: this is extremely RNG based AND* extremely long.** Shimmerbough solos (or near solos) Comet, then the 2 EPWs are rotated by Cosmos, healing constantly and getting in an occasional hit, with Apocalypse doing all the work for Constallatius. Shimmer will rotate between keeping Comet stunned and blinded and dealing damage while he's blinded. Once we get into the EPW rotation, you need to be both patient and greedy: He heals with starfall which would normally be negligible, but we're attacking so infrequently that it is significant. I've realized what's the culprit.
Just before SL launch they changed the cooldown of Starfall from 5 to 4, and as Algalon's pets follow a priority list, this means that indeed Phase Punch used to be rarer.

I will try to look if anything solid can be done, but just wanted to chime in, it's not just you. (edited)

I could never get this to work with the MPD, and the strategy is super close but needs to be tweaked to work properly in 9.0+

I used this team with a Darkmoon Zeppelin sub for the MPD and did not bother with Primal Cry. I posted my strategy on the WoW Pet Battle Forum. I'll try to write it up here, but I'm concerned it might be too close to this one to fit the terms. I will note it and see.

the teamcomposition worked in 9.1 but the strategy itself was not working without some tweaking; maybe blizzard changed the cd on the emerald dream or the Phase Punch from Cosmos cause these 2 don't always line up so for the 2nd phase punch u need to swap in your MPD before; and then this strategy worked for me; not even needed the MPD except for swapping

I don't know if something was changed between Oct and Nov, but I could not get this strat to work as of Nov. 16th, 2020. Easily 60+ attempts, but finally I adjusted the strat and the following worked for me today:

Zandalari Anklerender (P/P) 2 2 2
EPW (P/P) 1 2 2
MPD (S/S) * * 2

Primal Cry, Black Claw, Hunting Party - got lucky with a crit and Comet died. Black Claw on Cosmos, Anklerender died.

Brought in P/P EPW. Emerald Dream, then Ancient Blessing, then Breath x 2. MPD got swapped in, Decoy immediately and swap back to EPW. Emerald Dream, Ancient Blessing, Breath x 2 and then swapped again. Decoy was back up, so I repeated the rotation until Cosmos died. MPD did get killed by the AE damage in the back line, but Failsafe triggered and I was able to keep the EPW alive until Apocalypse triggered (no crits from the final pet).

This only worked because I got lucky with a crit on Comet and did not get unlucky with a crit on Constallatius. Otherwise it would not have worked

I could not get this with the above because the MPD kept dying (even through failsafe) too early. I swapped out for the Darkfaire Zeppelin because it has decoy and more health than the MPD.

This worked.

I completed this today (9 Jan 2021) with:

Zandalari Kneebiter (P/P) 2/2/-
Emerald Proto-Whelp (P/P) 1/1/2
Darkmoon Zeppelin (H/B) -/-/2

The Kneebiter did not kill Comet, but a crit got him down far enough that one breath from EPW finished him off. I did the Emerald Dream/Ancient Blessing/Breath rotation until forced to swap. Zeppelin put up the decoy and I manually swapped back to EPW. Followed the same Emerald Dream/Ancient Blessing/Breath rotation until forced to swap the second time. Decoy is back up, just as in Terebinthia's strategy. Put out decoy, and repeat. This will quickly finish off Cosmos. Leave the Zeppelin in the backline--mine didn't even trigger failsafe.

I got a crit breath after the second swap that finished Cosmos off and then Constellantius was easy following the Emerald Dream/Ancient Blessing/Breath rotation until Apocalypse hits, leaving the Zeppelin alive in the backline.

Got the Stardust pet. FINALLY. No other strategy I've attempted has worked, and I tried them ALL. Everything. I was about to declare it undoable...but there it was.

This will not work as written. Doesn't consider the pet swaps Cosmos does. If you swap your whelp back in after he gets swapped out he gets one- shotted immediately. Proto-whelp would have to be faster than Cosmos for this to be viable.

Taking a look at the stats: Emerald Dream has a 5 round cooldown, There is no breed of EPW that will be faster than Cosmos whose speed is 394 with a 4 round cooldown on his Swap. Due to this you cannot use emerald dream in time to negate the second swap. (And even if you could the third swap would get you because of the cooldown difference.)

The strategy as it is written does not work. I have to wonder if the cooldown of Cosmos' swap ability was reduced in Pre-Patch part 2? Thats the only change that I could imagine so radically changing this strategy (or of course EPW's ability cooldown being changed.)

Never fear though, Terenbinthia's strategy (in the comment below) works wonders on Cosmos but is heavy RNG. You need MPD to survive Cosmos without triggering Failsafe, and you need your EPW to survive until Turn 2/3 of Apocalpyse. (At which point you decoy and wait)

Edit: Oh and I've been trying with a P/S EPW, which may mean I need 2 crits? I had a 3 crit attempt where my MPD survived but my EPW died early. Ill come back and update to confirm if this is Viable RNG on a P/S or a hail marry.

Edit 2: Can confirm you need at least 2 crits on a P/S (Or maybe 1 crit on a Dragon Buff attack?) Would definitely prefer a more reliable way to do this, might go grab a P/P (edited)

I made a tdscript for this :) for me my MPD didn't even got a chance to be active, with the rotation from my EPW that survived the 15 rounds when the last enemy pet was active.

I've tried the script with every available breed combo, about 20 times now, and it always results in my dragonling getting swapped in and then the script doesn't work anymore. How are you negating the pet swap? (edited)

How are you dealing with the pet swap? The guide as written results in the EPW getting swapped out as soon as Emerald Dream goes off cooldown no matter what I do. No guide seems to address the pet swap issue.

I can confirm that this strategy does work after the Shadowlands pre-patch, although you may have to do it more than once. It took me two times. The problem I had was not with the first pet (which was the one I was unsure about). Both times I needed just one breath to defeat Comet. I ran into a problem with the first fight in the my Emerald Proto-Whelp died too soon on the last pet (he died first hit- before any healing) thus making the strategy of waiting for Apocalypse no good (because the Dragonling dies before it hits).

I was also able to use this strat. I had to do it twice because on the first round my Anklerender died too soon and it through the whole thing off. The second time my Proto-Whelp actually lasted all the way to the end but it was a close thing. Cosmos crit him once and I was loosing ground on HP but managed to make it through.

I replaced Anklerender with Squirky. Bubble, Stampede, Punch, Punch . There's a little RNG involved but most of the time Squirky could kill Comet.

This fight strategy is *not* breed dependent. I just did it with a P/B Anklerender and a P/S Proto-whelp. Anklerender did not kill Cosmo, but one round of Breath did. Either I'm really lucky or more than one breed setup does indeed work. I won during Apocalypse after it triggered the failsafe on the Dragonling.

This strat needs to be tagged as breed-dependent -- it failed hard for me the first time I attempted it, you need a S/S zandalari and a P/P proto-whelp in order to survive it. But with those breeds, it worked great. Apocalypse landed without my third pet ever coming into play and I won. :)

I found that my Emerald Proto-Whelp just would not die against his last pet, but it also wouldn't ever do enough damage against its healing. It ended up being a stalemate until the Apocalypse. At which point Algalon was out of pets and I won by default. My Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling was never even brought out.

This doesnt work at all. Protowhelp dies either in fight with cosmos, or right in the fight with Constellatious. And Lockvogel doesnt stay, so Const. just hits Pandarian to death.

Can confirm that this strategy still works in 8.3; Can not stress this enough thou, once you transition to second opponents pet, you have to stick to the rotation.

Side note: At the third enemy pet I kept on using Emerald Proto-Whelp as it was above 800 health and I could prolongue the fight with the same rotation (ED, Breath, AB, Breath) until both active pets died, and only my Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling was alive

I used P/P Emerald Proto-Whelp in the second slot. Rotation against Cosmos is ok, but once Constellatius came in, I came to think eventually that I can't really outdmg his heal, if I keep healing as much as this (and Apocalypse would kill me sooner), so I eventually started to just spam Breath, almost killed him. Apocalypse came down, killed my Whelp, but somehow I won? Maybe a bug, but I'd suggest just spamming Breath with Whelp and the Dragonling to down him ASAP.

Followed this script TO THE LETTER and failed every time ... NOT WORKING. Blizz must have changed something or your script is dependent on type (mine are PS PB and SS) ... and I tried so many times I lost count!

three tries later (in 8.1) I can confirm the strategy does work, but it is subject to crits. If however you enter the phase with constellus without over 80% heath on your emerald whelp after emerald dream finishes - bail and start again as you cannot last long enough for the apocalypse.

OK so I'm late to the party.
PP Anklerender, PP Proto-Whelp...basically I think the RNG comes down to whether the Anklerender kills Comet or *nearly* kills Comet. First try, Anklerender killed Comet, and when Cosmos came in it immediately Phase Punch'd, throwing the whole fight out of whack.
Second try, Anklerender *NEARLY* killed Comet. EPW came in, killed Comet, then was able to proceed with the Dream/Breath/Blessing rotation all the way thru to the Victory.
SIDENOTE: I did get a bit nervous late in the Apocalypse rounds. I just brought MPD in when Apocalypse had one round left...it was weird, Apoc hit but didn't kill my MPD or send it into Mech Round, and I hadn't even had a chance to get Decoy off since I brought MPD in one round too late.
Anyway, got it done, got star-bunny, blah blah blah.

As of 8.0 this strat no longer seems viable, phase punch and starfall are two separate skills that cosmos always has, and your pets will swap during the fight.

Incorrect, I just completed this without problems and without having to use Mechanical Dragon Dragonling. Your pet will not be swapped if it's in Emerald Dream, so you did obviously not follow the rotation correctly.
Let me restate: This still works as of 8.0.

This strategy only works if your Emerald Proto-Whelp can stay alive during most of the last fight. By the time you get to the last one your Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling only has half life. It can't survive. But if you manage to stay alive long enough on your Proto-Whelp...it is viable.

This strat is awful. I read somewhere that it's "devoid of almost any rng" which is untrue. My Emerald Proto-Whelp dies to Constellatus every time at 9 stacks left of Apocalypse. No way my Dragonling can stay alive that long. I think I have somewhere around 10 tries.

Emerald Proto-Whelp saves the day! I had to run this twice because Cosmos killed EPW the first time through. Bad RNG, I guess. The second run worked flawlessly. This fight definitely made me think outside the box, because Constelllatius has so much health!

Lovely strat, though it failed for me the first time: thanks, RNG. First time was as Rage Kage describes above: Cosmos had so much health left when the Anklerenderer died that the EPW couldn't even finish it off. Second time, Anklerenderer got Cosmos down under 100 HP, so the rest all went smoothly. Constellatius keeps healing himself back to full HP, but don't worry: the first thing he does is cast Apocalypse, and all you have to do is stay alive until Apocalypse finishes him off! I didn't even have to bring in my MPD.

This strat was awesome and works pretty well. However it should be noted that sometimes Cosmos will have Phase Punch instead of Starfall. This ruins the strategy because it forces you active pet which is Emerald Proto Whelp to the backlines and swaps with Mech Pandaren Dragonling.. If this happens restart the fight again untill he has starfall. And you should be good.

Ja funktioniert leider nicht mehr, der Hase switcht immer wieder den mechanischen Pandarendrachling nach vorne, selbst wenn ich den Proto wieder vorschicke stirbt er weit bevor der Hase auch nur halb down ist :( Statt Pandarendrachling die Ungeborene Valkyr geht.

Anfangen mit Urschrei, Schwarze Klaue und Jagdrudel. Knöchelreißer sollte dann sterben.
Der Welpe macht Alagons erstes Pet dann mit Atem fertig. Danach immer die Rotation Smaragdgrüner Traum, Atem, Uralter Segen, Atem und wieder von vorne.
Wenn Alagons Pet eure Pets tauscht,setzt ihr mit der Valkyr Fluch der Verdammnis und Heimsuchung und beginnt die Rotation mit dem Welpen erneut. Jetzt müsst ihr nur noch durchhalten, bis der Komet von Alagons 3. Pet einschlägt. Danach sollte der Kapf vorbei sein und ihr gewonnen haben. (edited)

Получилось со 2 раза(нужно чтобы Комета умерла за одно дыхание).
В тот момент когда вместо протодракончика выходит ваш третий питомец - юзаем приманку и возвращаем протодракончика в бой.
Созвездий юзает апкалипсис и цель дракончика - продержаться пока обоих не убьет.

Вероятно, некорректно указано breed:any у первого. Ни разу вторым петом не удавалось победить Космоса. Upd: У меня 2 изумрудных протодракончика, сайт предлагал выбрать зелёного, а не синего. Сменил на синего -- с первой попытки прошёл, даже не пришлось призывать третьего пета -- второй дотянул до победы. (edited)

Я не понимаю в чем прикол, Космос меняет вам питомца, созвездий вешает апокалипсис и затягивать бой с ним нельзя, а он по 50% себе хилит. Тут это нифига не учтено, я мучаюсь уже два с половиной часа разными сетапами, потратил уже 20 бинтов, убить Алгалона просто похоже нереально, не знаю что с сделать но этим сетапам это на 100% бесполезно.
