This pet is part of A Small Favor for Cymre Brightblade.

1. You can collect the items at any time; her WQ does not need to be up for you to see or collect them.
2. The WQ Brightblade's Bones must be up in order to turn in the Eroded Fossil & Petrified Dragon Egg to Cymre Brightblade.
3. You will need to have the Climbing Quests unlocked via Renown with the Dragonscale Expedition.
4. You do not need to speak with Cymre Brightblade before looking for the items. Their spawns are simply random, shared with other players, and seem to be on long-ish respawn timers.
5. The items will not sparkle if you ctrl+z

Eroded Fossil

The Eroded Fossil will be found near waterfalls. Here are some of the locations in the Waking Shores where players have reported finding one:
