To collect Feathers, players must pick up a quest from Kelsey Steelspark (Alliance) or Trade Prince Gallywix (Horde). Both NPCs can be found on or in the main boat at each faction's main hub in Battle For Azeroth. For Alliance, players will need to complete part of the War Campaign to recruit Kelsey first.

After picking up the breadcrumb quest, players will complete a short quest chain that continues the story of two particular characters that appeared in the Before the Storm book. The final quest in the chain rewards Feathers.
