Glad I tried this on a first time there as my pets died and lost the fight. Too much RNG not reliable.

Ok so I've looked into this and done about 10 attempts using a weaker droplet (PS), of those 10 my third pet was used in 2 and of those I lost the fight 1 time.

It looks like the loss requires a really specific set of circumstances. You need to be using a non-PP droplet, you need to skip the second use of acid rain, Stout Alementals first Brew Bolt needs to hit weakly (less than 461 out of a 379-703 range), and the second enemy slot needs to be Automated Drilling Machine with Smoke Cloud.

In this scenario, the Alemental failing to kill the Sludge means a second Second Eruption lands and Alemental only has 652 health left before Drilling Machines damage, the dive then wastes 2 turns when Drilling Machine uses Smoke Cloud to dodge. Overall Alemental not getting enough damage in means Paradox can't finish the fight.

So yea once in ten attempts and only because I didnt follow my own instructions, that said I didn't see the spider tank in my testing and I know that thing shreds elementals which I can see causing some problems. I'll try a few more times to see if I can get the spider tank, in the mean time I'm going to update the guide to better handle that fringe case.

I just wanted to give it a try, like "why not"
It's a bit of a vague description, because I don't see when my pets are expected to die. Still, it worked the forst time I tried and that's what it's all about!!
Thanks for a very nice strat!!.
BTW, I only needed 2 water Jets with the spirit!

Thanks for the feedback.

Theres a lot of RNG in this fight which makes it hard to pinpoint exactly when each enemy will die, but I've included some additional lines where I'm confident RNG won't have an impact.

With that said, the strat itself has enough firepower that it should overwhelm any RNG issues.
