Their recommendation for the third pet is a Jeune dragonnet du Nexus with Tempête arcanique followed by Éruption de mana. I haven't had the chance to test it myself, since Chrominius survived all 10 attempts I've made to check this strategy.

Did it with Nether Fairy Dragon, Chrominius and Stormborne Whelpling; the trick is to time the life swap so you don't die beforehand. Used ravage with chrominius, mana surge with whelp

Surge of Power was blocked and the Nexus Whelpling died before it could get off it's 2nd Mana Surge. I recommend watching Crouch very closely. If it's up, he's taking 0% damage, regardless of your move.

I recommend using Howl > Bite > Bite > Howl until Chrom dies, and then immediately Mana Surge with the Whelp. Worked perfectly for me.
