Worked but just for me. My final pet finished had to finish him off so make sure they are quicker than 206, less health than 1400 and with a strong mechanical move. I'd also suggest a mechanical pet to avoid crits.

I don't know what happened but after the pre-patch, the Anklebiter gets totally wiped out in the first attack!! tried 2 different days, about 5 attempts!!

The Anklebiter always got wiped out in the first attack. Frill Blast deals more damage than the raptor's health.

The more interesting question is whether Bling can finish the job.

I just tried it, and Bling did kill Oondasta, but needed a Make It Rain at the end, and even then, it was very close.

Bling is very likely to survive and have a chance to get Make It Rain in. Looking at the numbers, even if Oon crit both the Spiritfire Beam and the first Crush, Bling would not be brought to Failsafe.

Of course, a third pet with a big mech hit like Ion Cannon could be used to finish the battle anyhow. Just be careful it doesn't have more health than Bling, as specified in the strat. (edited)

This kinda worked in 9.0.1 but he did manage to kill lil'bling so I had to bop him twice after with leap. Probably swap out the third pet with something that can hit him harder.

Just as a clarification to Aranesh's strategy: Players are reporting that the script is broken or this strategy doesn't work. Please pay attention to the third slot. The third pet MUST HAVE LESS HEALTH than Lil' Bling (hence the <1401) or Blingtron won't be swapped in when Anklerender dies. "Frill Blast - Deals 1340 Magic damage and forces the opponent's highest health pet to swap into battle." (edited)

But the canned Rematch string doesn't incorporate that. I had to override the randomized third slot because it pulled in an H/H and made the force swap not work.

Then don't use the canned rematch string. Manually save your own team with a pet that has less health than Lil' Bling. It's literally a two-button fight. We can do SOME of the work. :P

I put in Comet with Illusionary Barrier, then swapped to Foulfeather (Black Claw & Flock with Lil Bling (make it rain)

This strategy worked perfect for me.

It is notable; however, that the first attempt did not go so well as I used Tinytron (1887 HP) as the backline pet, so, rather than Lil' Bling swapping in, Tinytron came in. This meant that Lil' Bling didn't get to use Inflation 3 times. Instead, I used Mechanical Pandaren Hatchling as my backline (1400 HP) and it was fine.

It works flawlessly. Pay attention to breed requirements. If you have an SS Anklerender (which people use for most PVE content), it will not work very well.

Read the hp requirement for pet 3 ^.
It says "hp<1400".
The Anklerender should also be a power breed, not S/S.

I was finally able to beat him with the Anklerender, Mechanical Pandarin Dragonling, and Alarm-O-Bot.

What are you trying to do? Did you read the strategy right? Black Claw, the raptor should then be dead, and you bring out a different pet, Lil Bling, and cast Inflation. Unless the raptor misses, which I don't believe is possible, I have no idea what he's failing at.

S/S Anklerender/Kneebiter has considerably lower power than the other 3 breeds as they are all power breeds (P/P, P/S and P/B). Therefore Black Claw adds considerably less damage per hit and Lil' Bling needs a crit for the strat to succeed.
It's not often a breed specific fight slips through on this page, but this is one of those times.

For some reason, I'm not allowed to pick who comes out after Oondasta blasts my Anklerender down. Regardless of which spot I've got a third pet in, it comes in next, not my Lil'Bling.

Edit: The third pet has to have lower HP than your Bling. If it has higher health, the one with higher health will be swapped in first, which drops your Black Claw buff too soon.

Just managed to finish this with my Elekk Plushie as the Any Pet. Was having trouble with the strat because after Anklerender would die it would bring in the Plushie no matter what so I moved the Plushie to spot #1

Turn1: Just picked a skill to use as it survives through the first hit from Oondasta and then Lil"Bling gets brought in because it has more health than my Anklerender

Turn 2: Swap to Anklerender (Mine is P/S ) (Oondasta does lightning for 384ish damage)

Turn 3: Black Claw, Anklerender gets killed here. Bring in Lil'Bling

Turn 4: Inflation

And totally thought I needed this fight for An Awfully Big Adventure achievement and just noticed that you don't....oh well!

I've had pretty good luck with any pet that can cast Call Lightning (Tranq Yeti or Golden Hatchling are both good), followed by two turrets from Clockwork Gnome, and then a single Exposed Wounds from Cogblade Raptor. The combination of lightning & wounds makes the turrets hit like a truck. He dies immediately after you get those off.

als 3. Tier habe ich eine Mechantel genommen, da sie knapp unter 1400 Leben liegt wird automatisch Bling rekrutiert und dann mit Goldregen und Inflation weiter. Klappte hervorragend

Klappt wunderbar, ein Mech (oder Untot) mit höherem Level zum Leveln mitzunehmen, klappt hier auch (an Stelle 2, Klein Bling dann erst auf Platz3 im Team)
