I took a higher hp pet with Black claw and flock. This significantly reduced the RNG of this fight. (My pick of what was available to me was Foulfeather)

First time didn't work, second, ikky died but retinus still died from Blistering cold, so I guess it works but its RNG (9.0.1)

Ikky survived with just 2 HP after Black Claw twice in a row but managed to get flock in, so Blistering Cold still takes Retinus out. So maybe less RNG and more works but a close call? (editado)

I imagine this strat is RNG, due to Ikky only have 2 hp wiggle room. I can't say if Boneshard would be able to pick up the slack, or not, since it doesn't have any hard-hitting attacks to take advantage of Shattered Defenses.

That said, by avoiding the swap to Ikky, it reduces some of the RNG:

1. Level Pet pass or any ability
2. Swap to Boneshard
3. Blistering Cold
4. Pass
5. Chop

Boneshard dies. Bring in Ikky.

1. Black Claw
2. Flock

I think it's pretty clear that this was a typo. Formatting your first strats here can be a bit confusing.

1. Use an ability on Level Pet
2. Bring in Boneshard
3. Blistering Cold.
4. Boneshard is stunned. Bring Ikky in.
5. Black Claw
6. Flock.
