why not start with the leveling pet? it gets swapped immediately anyway and will get XP. you don't have to do the swap with seduction at the end and your MPD can just breath her down.

Making this battle substantially more straightforward and guaranteeing the carry pet all of the exp, my strategy involves using a pet with Explode (personally I use Blackfuse Bombling as it has the hardest hitting Explode, but in reality anything will work), Rapana Whelk, and carry pet with 417 HP minimum (which is less than you would need to survive a single Shadow Shock or Curse of Doom, as is the case in the currently recommended strat).

Had an attempt at this script where the last enemy ended up with too much health for the explode to kill it. Modifying the script to use another attack if the enemy health is higher fixed it.

I switched to a H/P Shimmershell Snail and it works a lot better than any breed of Rapana Whelk.
The Mudshell Conch can also be H/P

This strategy is NOT better if you are trying to do the Snowfeather Team Rumble, which is what the strategy you linked is for. They're completely different objectives with different requirements. Logically you wouldn't be trying to use a strategy tailored for a specific quest requirement if all you wanted to do was beat the encounter.

When seduction comes in she casts curse of doom then a stun, you can switch in level pet after she casts cod and then and switch one of the 2 and finish her without worrying about passing and such.

Thanks for the reminder, haven't been here for a while but will test this alternative level-pet swap next time Viciosa is active and maybe add the changes and script here.

Think I'll keep using this team, the Valkyr/MPD strategy for Team #1 (with level-pet taking the magic Nether Gate damage and Decoy not blocking any Dreadful Breath humanoid damage) is not what I prefer for XP carrys, maybe I'll use as a faster alternative if my queue only has 15+ pets (think your level pet needs at least 772 HP and much more if you want to make it crit-save or use Dragonkins or Flyers)
