Script is wrong. Chrominius casts nothing and does nothing.
Fixed one that worked for me. Also kept up my crab alive past Mollusk.

Did this with Inky 2-2-1, lvl 22 Lava Crab (leveling pet), and Chominius 1-1-2. Inky until dead, then Chominius until dead, then hit once with leveling pet and the fight should be over.

Which Crab?

Looking at the age of this strat (#45) it was surely written for Emperor Crab. The site nowadays fills in possible substitiutes automatically, but it's possible some of those might not work.

OK, I just played through it with a P/P Emperor Crab, and worked perfectly. Mollus even got a crit on my Crab with Dive and it still worked regardless. I think maybe a Crit on Diamond's first round Frost Nova might have been a problem, if combined with another crit, but I'm not going to do the numbers on it.

If you don't have a P/P breed Emperor Crab, get one! It's one of the standard tools in your toolbox.

Yes, I can believe P/P and H/H Emperor Crab will work.

However, the site also offers automatic substitutions - Strand Crab, Shore Crab, and so on - so people may use one of those, not realising that THEY HAVE DIFFERENT STATS.

People setting newer stats are aware of this, and usually put restrictions, like a minimum Health, Speed or Power, so that substitutes that won't work will not be shown. It might be that in this case, if we find a substitute that doesn't work, we need to find a minimum stat that we should specify to make it safe.

bad rng day for me. 3 times in a row my H/H crab was at 350 hp for mollus. died from Dive 2 times and barely survived the 3rd time. I know i have used this strat before, but something seems to be wrong with the TD script, it didnt supply any commands to Chrominus and just kept passing. going to try copying the script again and see what happens.

I found a way to speed up this strategy considerably (I think I cut out at least 5-10 turns).

The key is that the crab only needs to get 1 hit in on skimmer before it dies, so it doesn't need to be high on hp after the 2nd pet.

open with shell shield, renewing mists, then snap till first pet dies.
shell shield, renewing mists, then snap till second pet dies.
when skimmer comes out, swap to level pet and back to crab, then snap once and die.
bring chrominius out and howl, surge and that should finish it.

it's possible this is breed dependent, though, my crab is P/P.

An alternative strat that is a bit faster but still uses easy to get pets:

1. P/P Fen Crab variant with Rip, Spiny Carapace, Blood in the water
ALTS: P/P Frostshell Pincher, P/P Ironclaw Scuttler, P/P Kelp Scuttler, P/P Zangar Crawler, P/P Spineclaw Crab

2. Any level carry pet (level 1 and higher)

3. Veilwatcher Hatchling with Peck, Flock, Predatory Strike

R1: Spiny Carapace
R2: Rip
R3: Blood in the Water (Diamond dies to DoT if not BitW)
R4: Rip
R5: Spiny Carapace
R6: Rip (Your crab dies)
R7: Select Carry Pet and immediately swap to Veilwatcher Hatchling
R8: Flock
R9: Flock continues (Mollus dies to DoT)
R10: Flock continues
R11: Predatory Strike (Skimmer can often die here if heals are low)
R12: Peck will finish off Skimmer

This is a very solid and fast strat and the pets are easily obtainable. Try it out and see what you think.

Tested Crab strat with a H/H crab, and it worked, so I presume a P/P will as well. May be subject to RNG from crits, though. Skimmer was at full health when I brought out Chrominius.
