While Inmolación is much, much better for backline healing, I've found out Lanzallamas adds a little more stability, as dropping a DoT later means it smoothes out the Quemar's RNG. You can use Inmolación first cast only, but you will risk Gyrexle healing out because Failsafe didn't trigger. I think it has something to do with different backline/weather abilities affecting the Gyrexle's health in a way that causes them to use Reparar late/early enough. it been working just fine for me in 10.2.5, as long as you don't overcrit idol of decay and use sandstorm before you can counter illuminate. there's still RNG tho (editado)

True, but a 14 step strat is still WAY more efficient than a 25+ step strat. This one could still be helpful to those who don't have the other pets though, it's just incredibly slower and has a decent chance to fail with RNG.

Does not use Sandstorm on wishbright lantern. And a newbie question.. is that the full script ? This fight can have quite some twists so it doesnt always work out it seems. A crit from either opponent can throw the whole thing off ? (editado)

Just used this script again right now. Failed the first time. Idol was down too much health by the time it got to the lantern. It was successful on the second try, but you're right, no sandstorm on the lantern.

I moved the use(Sandstorm:453) [enemy.round=2] up one line so it was right before use(Crush:406) [!enemy.ability(Dark Rebirth:794).usable] and that seemed to resolve the no sandstorm on the Wishbright Lantern issue for me.

The first line of this strategy should be removed.

In the event Idol of Decay gets a successful Dark Rebirth, you are (necessarily) in a better position to win/end the fight than if you quit and try again.

First attempt failed, probably because anubisath idol died too early (probably a Rot crit). Second attempt it survived through to the lantern and got sandstorm up at least, even if it went down 1 turn later. After that it was smooth sailing.

Strong strat, still in 8.3. No reason to need 3rd pet, good powerleveling opportunity here in 3rd slot for carry

It can be dangerous to have a level 1 undead type pet as swarm of flies is more effective against them.

Also in my experience, the threshold for the idol to use Dark Rebirth is 250 hp rather than 300 hp.

agree -- I *just* had him at 276, swapped in my level pet and he didn't cast rebirth then.

You can sequence Deflection -> Sandstorm -> Switch to lvl 1 pet -> switch to Anubisath -> Deflection and so on. 100% safe, that's how I always do it

When Gyrexle comes in facing Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, do NOT start with Decoy. There's no point, since Gyrexle is faster, he will land the attack before Decoy goes up.

Instead, start with Thunderbolt, THEN, as Gyrexle does the first turn of Lauch Missle, THEN use Decoy.

The reason you use Thunderbolt first is that doing so causes it to come off CD one round sooner. Making it available to use again, if need be.

Love this strat, worked first time. Since they nerfed my Teroclaw hatchling this is the one I use.

this strat is really unreliable. I don't know if the tamer got a buff or these pets got a nerf but I've had my Idol die off 4x in a row now long before I could Sandstorm on the Lantern. I'm guessing there should be some more deflections in there instead of just spamming crush over and over, but they aren't noted in the strat.

I had great success with this strategy, but sadly every Sandstorm / Crush strategy has the potential to fail really miserably. The 10% miss chance can be devastating - or work in your favor.

Unsure if this is something that's changed since the comments from August 2016, but had Idol of Decay cast Dark Rebirth on me while at 262 HP. Hopefully that helps narrow down the exact threshold for the idol's Dark Rebirth cast.

Directions should include to pass on the turns where "DARK REBIRTH" is active on the Idol of Decay, easy win when you do this with all pet strategies.

Musste ein wenig variieren, wenn Götze critted. Das Lvl Pet kann auch schon bei etwas >250 rein. Fäule mit Abwehr noch mal blocken. Lvl 3 Pet auf 12, mit Safarihut :)
