Worked for me with a S/S Frostfur Rat and H/S bonkers, thank you! Edited to add that the other two fights this week (Chen and Taran) seem to have less issues with RNG so if you need all 3 for your Elekk I'd suggest fighting this guy first so you can leave, heal up, and come back in if needed. I got owned with PP and HS, and even a proper pet instead of plushie. Obviously needs specific breed, please specify because I failed the tournament because of this.

The simplest and probably most common way for a breed to cause a failure is when your pet is slower than intended, slower than the opposing pet, so that an avoidance move like Dodge is too late, and you get pwnd.

In this case, though, Wrathion's first pet is 375 speed, which is faster than any Frostfur Rat, so a Speed breed there would be of no use. Bonkers' speed *could* be a factor against Wrathion's second pet, except that the avoidance is used against Ice Tomb, which is at the end of the round, so speed doesn't matter for that, and there are no other tricky moves like Life Exchange involved at all.

I don't see why breed would be a major factor here.

If you want someone to check it out, please provide more details: what was your third pet? where did the strat start to go wrong? when did your Rat die? when did Bonkers die? like that.

I do see this strat has the RNG tag already. I expect that is because of Darkness, When you bring Darkness to a battle, you always run the risk that the misses will work against you. Was that what happened? did your Bonkers miss repeatedly in Darkness? if so, there is not much that can be done. (editado)

Using both a P/P Bonkers and a P/P Frostfur Rat (with no RNG misses during Call Darkness) made this fight very straightforward. Thank you for posting this!

My second try on this, I get very lucky and stunned with my last punch, allowing me an extra turn. I had 40 hp and would not have won otherwise. The rat died early. I did better earlier with a B/B breed than a P/B.

Worked on the first try for me, had a Rare Destruction Bonkers. Tried other strats seems this one is best IMO.

I nearly succeeded with the Bonkers/rat combo -- wanted to give the little cutie a go - But then I mistimed a dodge. I added a dodge and another sandstorm because the Idol had a lot of health left - didn't want to waste it. This was on Sept 18 - 2016
