I didn't have a spore levelled up high enough but substituted with Tiny Sporebat and got it first try, thanks for posting ♥

Lisma rédigé le 2017-12-24 17:23:43

Flying Team:
Snowfeather Hatchling (S/S) - x, x, 1
Glowing Sporebat (H/S) - x, 1, 1. Breeds with more health are preferred.
Direbeak Hatchling (H/P) - 1, x, x

Snowfeather Hatchling:
1 - Predatory Strike, Glowing Sporebat swapped in

Glowing Sporebat:
1 - Spore Shrooms
2 - Creeping Fungus. Very rarely Glowing Sporebat can be killed before applying Creeping Fungus, in this case restart.
3 - pass, Direbeak Hatchling swapped in

Direbeak Hatchling:
1-2 - Falcosaur Swarm!
3 - pass, Snowfeather Hatchling swapped in

Snowfeather Hatchling:
1 - Predatory Strike

I don't recommend to use Ikky because it has too low health and will be killed very often before Flock.

Can also use Snowfeather (325 Speed), Sharptalon, Bloodgazer Hatchling (1400 HP for all),
I used Snowfeather's Falcosaur Swarm > Sharptalon Rip > Predatory Strike > Falcosaur Swarm > Bloodgazer's Predatory Strike

Jencathen#1392

rédigé le 2020-07-08 16:54:13

This worked perfectly for me on the first try. I did not have the glowing sporebat leveled so I used a Shadow Sporebat H/H.

Chizu rédigé le 2019-11-02 08:39:01

Managed with Crimson Bat Pup (P/S, 1/x/2), Seaborne Spore (P/P, 1/1/1), Ikky (1/1/1). Strategy worked the same, but the dots from Spore killed him sooner than Bat could attack (I saved Drain Blood for last resort).

A little bit RNG though, he needs to hit Slicing Wind only twice to not kill your Spore and Ikky.

Clueless

rédigé le 2018-08-18 09:54:33

Borrowed and mixed; and added a new twist...
Snowfeather Hatchling, x;x;1
Crimson Spore, 2;1;2
Direbeak Hatchling, 1;x;1

Snowfeather starts, passes and gets swapped out.
Crimson Spore comes in, Creeping fungus, Blinding Powder and Explode.. dead
Direbeak comes in, Falcosaur Swarm, Predatory strike and dead
Snowfeather comes back and uses Predatory strike and wins!

Hope this helps someone else...

Did it with tiny sporebat instead of spore and used icky as 3rd pet with the highest hp hatchling first: in my case direbeak. Get in spore shrooms before creeping fungus and then follow up with icky's black claw instead of explode.

Found this on wowhead written by AliceInAcidland

S/S 111 Snowfeather Hatchling
P/S 111 Bloodgazer Hatchling
P/P 111 Sharptalon Hatchling

Start with Snowfeather Hatchling
Swarm, Gloamwing will swap in Bloodgazer Hatchling
Predatory Strike
Swarm

Bring in Sharptalon Hatchling
Predatory Strike
Swarm (Sharptalon Hatchling dies)
Predatory Strike

You can substitute any pet with other Falcosaur Hatchlings with Swarm and Predatory Strike, as long as your first pet is faster than Gloamwing.

This should be the primary strategy. Worked precisely as written first time!

ilmafirin rédigé le 2017-11-25 15:08:29

My bloodgazer kept dying before the second turn (might have been a series of unlucky crits), so I used the direbeak in the second slot and this worked great.

rédigé le 2017-11-28 13:49:18

Can fail if Gloamwing's Alpha Strike hits too often and the second pet dies before swarm, but overall it worked really well!

Alternative pet for Bat is Tirisfal Batling

Ziast#1425

rédigé le 2017-10-29 15:13:00

All pets need > 305 speed. RNG dependant on crits and how many hits taken. Took me 3 tries.

SnowFeather Hatchling (1/1/1), Coastal Sandpiper(1/2/2), Pterrodax Hatchling (2/1/1)

Falco swarm -> switched to Sandpiper
Quicksand, Flock. If quicksand doesn't crit, you might lose. Sandpiper dies.
Bring in Pterro. Fly right away to avoid the swap. Ancient Blessing then flyby til dead.
Back to Snowfeather. Predatory Strike. If Gloam isn't ~200, it probably won't work.

Bat not lvl'd up enough, so used Echo Batling B/B 1,1,1 which was only lvl 23, but same spells as regular bat, so went for it. 2nd pet, I did not have the Crimson Spore leveled up, so used a Shadow Sporebat H/H 2,1,1, again close, cept for the spiked skin, I used shadow slash. In my 3rd slot, I actually did have Ikky, lvl 25 all ready to go (P/S).
I did everything as listed, cept Spiked skin was replaced with Shadow Slash. Gloamwing died at the end of the Flock, no need to bring the batling back in for Reckless strike. Worked superbly. With the lvl 23 pet, and the replaced spell for spiked skin, it seems there is a little wiggle room, hope this helps someone else. Thanks for the strategy.

Worked on the first try, even though I used Glowing Sporebat instead of your Shadow Sporebat (same spells). Thanks a lot!

Caroline rédigé le 2018-05-31 21:18:44

This strat worked for me the first time. I didn't even need reckless strike at the end to finish him off. I used an H/S Echo Batling in the first slot. It only had 257 speed and worked just fine.

LB rédigé le 2017-11-23 18:34:19

I used three turkeys -- Plump Turkey (or any non-pardoned bird), Highlands Turkey, and Turkey

Preheat with sacrificial turkey
Pass - it dies.

One of the other turkeys gets pulled (does not matter which one)
Food Coma

Swap to other turkey
Peck
Food Coma

Switch back to the other turkey
Peck
Food Coma

Keep swapping and four hours later, you are done.

Happy Turkey Day!

This is indeed a lengthy strategy...but also an amusing one. :D Thanks! Side note, Szechuan Chicken has a turkey moveset so that also works.

This is the only one I could get to work... thx

DavidG rédigé le 2018-02-24 15:18:27

Note that the bat must have speed > 300 for this to work. That means something like P/S (305) or S/S (341) I would tend to recommend P/S since S/S is kinda wasted: you can do better with that second breed option than wasting it on more unnecessary speed.

All of that said, I'd also suggest doing what I did and completely ignoring this strat, and using the three falcosaur hatchling strat posted by Lillsnuttis. That seems to be far more reliable, and if you use the specific pets listed, you don't have to stress breeds, since those guys only come in one breed.

I used a B/B breed Echo Batling, lvl 23 which had a speed of 224. The strategy worked first time thru. (see my comment above).

Orphaned felbat work if you don't have s/s bat

Chi-Chi pass
Glowing sporebat - creeping fungus, spore shrooms
Ikky - black claw, flock.
Chi-Chi - ethereal

Emerson rédigé le 2017-10-09 03:17:12

used Tiny Sporebat instead of Glowing and it worked

Ashtora rédigé le 2017-10-13 17:02:09

I also used Tiny Sporebat instead, and had super bad RNG first try but this worked perfectly on second try. Thanks!

Even with screech up crimson spore is slower than Gloamwing and wont get spiked skin off.

Yewfire rédigé le 2017-09-15 05:07:19

Worked first time. Used s/s Felbat Pup in slot #1. Thanks!

Anonymous rédigé le 2017-09-29 08:04:00

Felbat pup can only be S/B. Maby you used Orphaned felbat?

Noximus rédigé le 2017-10-27 00:54:21

I dont think so my Orphaned Felbat was S/S and was barely faster Gloam.

Silvur-Dragonblight rédigé le 2017-09-16 00:24:15

I used Snowfeather Hatchling (1-1-1) as the first pet but used Falconsaur Swarm! as first move. My intention was to use Predatory Strike at the end when this was the last pet but Gloamwing dropped dead right after he swapped this pet in.

Thesassiest rédigé le 2017-09-16 20:12:08

YES! Wish I'd tried this on sooner, flawless!

dragonheals12 rédigé le 2017-09-18 20:59:12

I LOVE the hatchling swap. I think I used a direbeak, because it was my fastest, but the principle is the same. Worked first try.

Rilla rédigé le 2017-09-26 14:28:22

I used Tiny sporebat in place of crimson spore, tactic the same (in step 4 use Shadow Slash)

Tie rédigé le 2017-09-16 15:49:16

I used fungal moth, oasis moth and one other flying to take the first hit. Both moths have higher speed so they will go first. moth dust, alpha strike, cocoon strike. Rinse and repeat!

Xna - Doomhammer rédigé le 2017-09-15 05:08:00

I had no breeds with screech that were faster enough so used 'Violet Firefly' with Dazzling Dance first. And then 'Zangar Spore' as my crimson wasn't levelled. Didn't need turn 9, probably luck! Did the job! Thanks for the strat.

Anonymous rédigé le 2017-09-16 11:27:43

this worked great!! just make sure the violet firefly is in the third slot. I also used Ikky, and a chicken.. dazzling dance, black claw and flock, then flock again.

Anonymous rédigé le 2017-09-15 23:41:52

Ikky can die early to 5 total hits from Slicing Winds

Flying

S/S 111 Snowfeather Hatchling
P/S 111 Bloodgazer Hatchling
P/P 111 Sharptalon Hatchling

Start with Snowfeather Hatchling
Swarm, Gloamwing will swap in Bloodgazer Hatchling
Predatory Strike
Swarm

Bring in Sharptalon Hatchling
Predatory Strike
Swarm (Sharptalon Hatchling dies)
Predatory Strike

Can also do Turkey with 325 speed, Crimson Spore and Ikky. Do the same but first turn cast Flock.

my szechuan chicken worked awesome with squawk

AusChameleon rédigé le 2017-09-07 08:51:53

tried 5x, not working for me, wonder if it's a breed thing?

Fluffyrock rédigé le 2017-09-07 09:30:07

As someone said in the comments, your first pet needs to have the S/S breed. It doesn't need to be a bat, but any flying pet that has screech. Other than that it comes down to how lucky you are with getting hit by Gloamwing's slicing wind.

Daedrynn rédigé le 2017-09-06 06:19:04

If your bat is not S/S breed, it will not be fast enough to get the Screech off, you can sub any S/S flyer with Screech or Squawk that ALSO has a big hit available (usually in the 3rd slot) like Snowfeather Hatchling (1,1,1) with Predatory Strike. You will use that big hit on Round 9. This is RNG dependent no matter what, due to the variable number of enemy's Slicing Wind. If it gets 3 hits each time, it will demolish your pets. Simply start over.

Navet rédigé le 2017-09-07 07:51:50

Finaly got it with your help.

Snowfeather Hatchling with Squawk as the first pet.

RNG was on my side and Gloamwing died before my Predatory Strike.

Often Ikky would die before landing Flock due to triple Slicing Wind.

Thank you

Etta rédigé le 2017-09-06 22:24:43

You can also sub in a Brilliant Spore or one of the others if you do not have your Crimson Spore leveled.

Parsnip rédigé le 2017-09-05 20:59:57

My bat was slow, replaced it with a crow with 325 speed and used squawk and then used the above strat. Worked fine.

purpleblob rédigé le 2017-09-05 14:59:41

Your bat need to be faster than the Gloamwing, otherwise it can't get the Screech off, which throws off the rest.
