This fight is tough with elementals, due to the nature of the opponent's abilities. Bassalt,
Clawz, and Murrey do NOT follow a set move pattern, its randomized for every encounter. There are roughly 3-4 different ways this can play out (at least from what I've seen in my testing). If there is a crit or something cast by the opponent's out of order, you're better off reseting the battle.

If you have any suggestions, or found a tweak to this strat that works better, let me know! There are probably other combinations - feel free to add them in the comments, and I'll adjust the strat :)

I added some logic for Pandaren Water Spirit, so either PWS or Frostkin can be used (PWS: when Murrey comes in, avoid Superbark and then drop Whirlpool).

Since I didn't have Playful Frostkin I used PWS with dive and it worked first time.

Strat failed consistently. No idea why this is the recommended strat. P/B Ravenous Prideling, H/P Playful Frostkin, H/H Tiny Twister.

The RNG isn't whether or not Murrey will cast Tough n Cuddly, it's whether your second pet can survive long enough for Tough n Cuddly to have only 1 turn left with Tiny Twister so you can cast fly by and lightning.

Think I got lucky with this one, worked first go - I used Wrathling as I don't have Ravenous Prideling. Used Seethe instead of Blast of Hatred, and it hit for enough such that Surge of Power killed Bassalt. Then got lucky with RNG so Frostkin was still alive going into Murrey, and I got a Geyser to go off on him.

This worked for me (with tweaks) using Hydrath Droplet instead of Frostkin. I put a whirlpool, on Murrey, then waited until he had 2 turns left on Cuddly to swap in the twister. Then flyby, then Murrey is out of Cuddly and can be hit with the lightning.

My first 4 tries or so were a disaster, then I got so extremely lucky that my Frostkin almost soloed Murrey. The twister killed him with one hit, never took damage. The pet battle fates smiled upon me this day...

This strat should be thrown away immediately. Not that it might not work but the last line of the strat makes me want to weep. How did this pass muster? Murrey ALWAYS casts Tough 'N' Cuddly on round 1 after entering.

Hi there,

I tried the strategy and actually misplayed by using Bash on Tiny Twister instead of Fly by and it actually worked like a charm.

Same initial RNG (so the post is sort of redundant), but the stun I guess stops allows you to cast call lightning and Wild winds I believe. Worth a try either way and see if it works? (editado)

Nothing worked until I combined tactics with Sophic Amalgamation and Ravenous Prideling and finished with Tiny Twister when Murrey's tough'n'cuddly came off. Most probably RNG dependent but at this point I don't any longer care :/

Used Bound Stream in 2nd place with pump/dive/healing stream. Pump, dive to avoid pool if needed. Got half way through Murrey too before dying

Guess my RNG luck is really bad, because 10 tries and I could not get this strategy to work. Murray consistently casts Tough N Cuddly as soon as he comes in, so I have to reset every time - there's no chance I can even bother casting Call Lightning.

Despite what the OP says, Murrey will use their moves in the same order every time:
Tough n Cuddly > Superbark > Bite > Bite > Bite > Repeat from Tough n Cuddly

After many tries, I swapped out the Tiny Twister with Amalgam of Destruction with 2 2 2. I'm pretty sure I used Volcano, then Elementium Bolt and ended with Cataclysm but I'll have to confirm again.

I didn't have a leveld Frostkin so I substituted a Pandaren Water Spirit 121 just followed the strat except I did 3 water jets since no FLash Freeze and Dived the round before whirlpool to avoid it. Managed to live and get a couple hits on Murrey

Very RNG fight because of the ability usage. I didn't have tiny twister so I used Tiny Snowman and went for a blizzard/stun type comp with him on 1/1/2 and Frostkin on 1/2/2 the idea being to get stuns out and big damage. I got lucky though.

Strat worked perfectly fine, did not get Whirlpool in this fight, on top of that - Tough 'N' Cuddly was used, depiste that fight was won anyway. (editado)

I used this strat and Clawz actually used Whirlpool before my Frostkin entered but my Ravenous Prideling took the hit.
