Not sure what has changed - but just tried a lvl 17 with 929 hps and died in 4 attempts.

It worked perfectly for me just now.

There are several people who investigate reports of problems with strategies on Xu-Fu's. There are designated Strategy Curators, and other regulars who read comments and are interested in the latest.

In my experience, when people leave a short "It didn't work" note, they usually made a mistake. Maybe they used a pet with the wrong Speed, maybe they didn't do a Pass where it was indicated, sometimes they were even using the team and strat from a completely different battle. :)

Sometimes there genuinely is a problem with the strat. This is where the Curators and others come in, checking the strat for weaknesses, and fixing it or removing it if it can't be fixed.

Since most failure reports with no details are wrong, it's not good to waste people's time investigating them. Instead, help them by providing the information they need.

If the strat failed for you, and you want your comment to be taken seriously:

1. Specify EXACTLY which species and breeds you used.

2. Specify whether you read the strategy from the site and executed it manually, or downloaded and used the tdScript.

3. Specify EXACTLY where the first unexpected thing happened, the first thing that deviated from what the strat predicts. What died too early? What didn't die when it was supposed to? What attack missed?

4. If possible, provide a log. You can see your log in the Pet Battle tab of your chat box. You can pull that out, make it bigger, screenshot it. Better still, you can use the addon Battle Pet Log Keeper from Curseforge, and do /pblk and Save Battle when the battle you want to log is complete.

Does not work! I used a 25 Zandalari Kneebiter P/B, a lvl 20 Qiraji Guardling as my lvl pet P/S, and The Mech Pand Dragon S/S. When I use Thunderbolt and then Explode, the last mob still has hit points EVERY TIME. So I try to kill him with my lvl pet and he uses his block shield and I die...over and over and over.

I just did it again. P/B Anklerender (sams abilities and stats as Kneebiter).

He got a crit in Round 2 with his Jab, but the strat still worked exactly as specified. He had 771 HP when my raptor died, and the MPD took care of the rest.

But ... reading your comment - Prince Wiggletail doesn'f have a shield or block. He has Jab, Tidal Wave X, and Dodge. And you say "the last mob" when there is only one pet to fight? Are you sure you were doing the right battle?

I used a SS Anklerender and turn 3 used leap and turn 4 passed and worked perfectly.

Exploded once at 560 HP (despite a 50% boss resistance seems to do the full amount)

9.0 Pre-patch- The first 2 pets always die and a lvl 16 is prob not strong enough to finish this off. I failed 50% with a level 20 pet. I'll be finding a new team.

I can confirm that the strat works as written for the above breeds. Keep in mind, if your level pet is an Elemental, you'll be taking 1200+ (non-critical) damage to that pet. So it's probably best to avoid that.

If you have the S/S breed of Anklerender or Footlasher, this is what you can do to make this fight work:

You can skip out on the level pet and have a flyer with Predatory Strike in slot #3. The Flyer will need either 1650+ HP, or be faster than Prince Wiggletail's 347. There aren't many flyers that fit this description, but it's an option.
