For the first rabbit slot, instead of spending time to catch and level/ gold to buy one, just use Spring Rabbit as it is always S/S and can meet the >347 threshold.

Swapped out Crispin for Alpin Chipmunk and Perky Pug for Darkmoon Hatchling. The trick is, that, whichever pet you use for "Nut Barrage" and "Woodchipper" has to have higher health than the 3rd pet.
Strat as posted worked just fine.

Worked mostly as advertised (needed an extra bite at the end) with Brown Rabbit (S/S), Nuts (P/S), and Lucky Quilen Cub (P/S). Nuts and LQC had the same HP so Nuts got swapped in 2nd.

This didn't work at all as shown. Crispin in particular was getting 1-shot.

I ended up using an SS Rabbit, Grizzly Squirrel with over 1400 HP, and Egbert.

I think the intent of the strat is to have the #3 pet with equal or less health so it auto gets swapped in. You then can get both moves off.

I used a Darkmoon Hatchling in the final slot as I didnt have my Perky Pug levelled and this worked fine too - I assume any critter pet with trample would work as he cast shadowmeld when my last critter pet came in.

9.1 - Works, but don't try subbing the perky pup for the Lucky Quilen Cub. The problem is that this causes the wrong pet to come in when you want Crispin to come in (due to mechanics of the enemy swap attack). The cub *might* work if you bring it in damaged (<1319 health) but I have not tested that because I didn't think about it until blowing resources on my perky pug.

Works like a charm even with green quality Perky pug. For rabbit used Spring Rabbit SS bread with 357 speed. TD script if anyone need it:
