P.S edit:

You can't swap the pets, each Nexus whelp has to die to strategy works.
( Arcane -> Mana Surge -> die -> next whelp -> mana surge till die -> next -> mana surge, chi-chi dies.)

Didnt work for me either, Chichi's Fire Quills always hit me 3 times, and my pets die before ending their rotation (RNG dependant)

Didn't work for me. Maybe I've had bad luck, maybe I have the wrong breeds, who knows, guide doesn't say anything. Raised the 3 Whelplings to 25 for nothing.

Stormborne Whelpling is a direct equivalent of Nexus Whelpling for this strat. They both have access to Arcane Storm and Mana Surge, and have identical stats.
