You can use another magic pet with non-magic attacks instead of lantern but without Amparo de alma or a similar ability, Armagedón might kill your third pet.

It's important that pen takes 2 turns against Egcellent before switching since otherwise Chaos pup gets outsped for 2 turns taking to much damage and wont be able to finish egcellent off at turn 15. Causing lantern to take damage finishing Egcellent off wich might lead to red wire killing Lantern.
