A few notes to put your best foot forward for this battle: Only the Prole de dracohalcón plateado S/S can be used here (cannot substitute with Golden, Red, etc). Make sure you've made yours rare as they are uncommon when first purchased. The extra bump in health and damage will definitely help! Emmigosa could be substituted for Vástago azur if your Dragón feérico abisal is a power breed as you will lose power switching from Azure to Emmigosa. Lastly, make sure Dragón feérico abisal has less health than Vástago azur and more health than Prole de dracohalcón plateado. Took around a dozen or so attempts, but I was finally able to defeat Shadeflicker using this strategy. Main issue is the varying amount of damage taken, so it was often that I found Nether Faerie Dragon / Spritedarter Hatchling dying before they could use their Arcane Blast.

Instructions were not difficult at all to follow, so I suggest removing the "Tricky" tag and replacing it with the RNG tag.

Even with an unlucky critical strike against me, this strategy was successful with a P/B and H/P Nether Faerie Dragon and a P/S Twilight Clutch-Sister in the Shadowlands pre-patch as of November 4th, 2020.

Alt Strat. Low RNG.

Silver Dragonhawk (S/S) ONLY: 2/2/1

Azure Whelpling: x/x/2 Emmigosa may be able to substitute IF you have a P/P NFD (H/P or P/B may work w/ substitute but it is untested). (The reason NFP must have power is to make up for the loss of power that derives from the switch to Emmigosa from Azure Whelp).

Nether Fraerie Dragon: 2/2/1 Any Breed. (TO REDUCE RNG SIGNIFICANTLY: Before you start the battle with Shadeflicker, get NFD's health around 850. But make sure Silver Dragonhawk and Azure Whelpling have full health at the start). EDIT: MAKE SURE NFD HAS LESS HEALTH THAN AZURE WHELPLING BUT MORE HEALTH THAN SILVER DRAGONHAWK AFTER SILVER DRAGONHAWK EATS VOID GATE.

1 Flamebreath > Azure Whelp comes in
2 Pass
3 Ice Tomb
4 Pass > NFD Comes in.
5 Life Exchange (Ice Tomb then hits) and Shadeflicker is stunned for 1 round.
6 Moonfire
7 Pass > Silver Dragonhawk comes in
8 Flamebreath (After flamebreath Shadeflicker will use phaseshift)
9 Swap to Azurewhelpling who will soak the damage and die.
10 Swap to NFD
11 Pass (soaking damage and dying).
11 Silver Dragonhawk Hatchling is swapped in via Void Gate
12 Conflagration (Before Conflagration, flame breath dot was still up. Shadeflicker shouldn't have phaseshift either)

Worked on my second try! used a P/S emmigosa and it worked just fine. last 2 rounds are a bit iffy though. my dragonhawk hatchling had 8 hp left but it was enough to finish the job :)

I don't have a Twilight Clutch Sister or Azure Whelp and this took lots and LOTS of attempts, but finally got it with a Emmigosa and /SS NFD. The last 2 rounds were the only issue for RNG really. Thank you!

Nothing 'Tricky' about this strat as of 8.3. Worked straightforward with the slower pets needed for it the first time. Good strat.

I didn't have a Sprite Darter Hatchling or Yu'la. Found a different strategy on wowhead by ograda (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=128016/shadeflicker#comments:id=2520596) that I used instead.

Chrominius (1,1,2)
Twilight Clutch-Sister (2,2,2) (I used P/B breed)
Nether Faerie Dragon (2,2,2) (I used H/P breed)

Your Twilight Clutch-Sister needs to have equal or more hp than your Nether Faerie Dragon

Turn 1: Pass (Twilight Clutch-Sister gets swapped in)
Turn 2: Prismatic Barrier
Turn 3: Swap manually to Nether Faerie Dragon
Turn 4: Arcane Blast
Turn 5: Arcane Blast
Turn 6: Life Exchange

If you don't have the pets listed, 3 Saurolisk Hatchlings and a stack of bandages will do it eventually.

FD the Gate, then Rush his Dodge (for speed boost), Burrow. Burrow hits after second Gate then Rush till you die. Might have used Rampage on one of them I don't recall. Took a lot of tries but with a crit or 2 finally got it.

Bought these guys for Snozz and wanted to get my coin's worth out of them.

I used Yu'la (1,x,2) instead of my S/S Sprite Darter, which didn't work well (as advertised). Just used Breath when Moonfire and Arcane Blast was called for. Worked fine.

Yes, and you're on dragonkin turn. Definitely this. Also, the death occured right after, so Void Gate (round 13) struck TCS and she used Twilight Fire first; 14+ was like described.

Should we change this?

For future UI: If you sub a second NFD instead of a Sprite Darter, it should have less health than your TCS.

This worked perfectly the first time except for Turn 11 - my Sprite Darter was at full health with Shadeflicker around 800, and all Life Exchange would have done was lose me the fight. Another Arcane Blast instead, and my Clutch-Sister had hardly anything to wipe up for the last two moves.

Just had the same happen to me and I wiped cause I did do the Life Exchange, only taking down 160 hp. If you're Sprite Darter is high at this point, you should definitely do Arcane Blast twice

If you don't want to shell out the ~30k gold for a Sprite Darter Hatchling, you can substitute Chrominius (112) for it.

Modified Strategy that requires very little RNG:

This worked pretty well; my NFD would never die at turn 7 though. If that happens to you, simply bring him in after Chrominius dies and let him eat the next hit. Then Prismatic Barrier-->Pass-->Twilight Meteorite-->Twilight Fire.

Perfect, worked first time for me today. I didn't have the sprite darter hatchling so off I went to feralas and settled in for some serious farming and the thing dropped within two minutes.....My first ever world pet drop... and I've been playing since vanilla.... The RNG Gods took pity today.

Silver Dragonhawk Hatchling (S/S)
Wild Golden Hatchling
Red Dragonhawk Hatchling (S/S)

Just follow the strat on wowhead. The extra damage from the cyclone is nice.

NOTE: I did not have TWILIGHT CLUTCH-SISTER when I got to this fight. Since it is the only dragon with the barrier ability, I decided to go get it. Atm, prices range from 8-18k on the 10 servers that I have gold on, so I headed for BoT to kill Valiona. Dropped for my 10th alt on Normal 10 man. Any 100+ toon can solo BoT now. Good luck!

the strat for the Twilight Clutch group works but one change would make swap turn 11 with turn 12 as you are not getting much benefit. The hit from Shadeflicker will do much more damage than the arcane blast if the steps are swapped. Enabling a larger kick against shadeflicker.

I don't have one either. It won't drop for me in BOT and there are none on the AH. It's killing me, this is the last fight I need for the achievement. I'm trying to find anybody that has one to see if I can borrow it, but none of my friends seem to have one. I need another start that doesn't need it. Hardest fight here I think.

The Chromius alternate strategy works great. Just make sure your NFD has low enough health to die when hit with the meteor cannon after her series of turns. If need be you can engage the Nether Faerie plus any 2 non-Shadeflicker combat pets in a random nearby pet battle, surrender, and take the 10% penalty. You should still be able to use the Danvash strat and die for the cause--and win! With high health the sequencing to finish with Clutch Sister gets messed. I wish Blizz wouldn't require specific breeds and/or several identical leveled pets for these already difficult, if not to say (insert bad word here)-up battles. I notice the Sprite Darter Hatchling is now bringing up to 100k on my server--unless WoW's next iteration/patch is a casino in Vegas, I'm not in this game for much longer...

Azure Whelpling x/x/2 (I used P/P, Emmigosa x/x/2 might work as a substitute)

* nether faerie dragon must have less health than azure whelpling

Flame Breath, Azure Whelpling is swapped in via Void Gate
pass (Shadeflicker puts up Phase Shift)
Ice Tomb
pass, Nether Faerie Dragon is swapped in via Void Gate
Life Exchange, Ice Tomb hits, Shadeflicker stunned 1 round

pass, Silver Dragonhawk Hatchling is swapped in via Void Gate

8) Солнечный луч
9) Чудесный дракончик Пустоты – Обмен жизнью
10) Лунный огонь (у Тенепрыга должно остаться меньше 321HP)
11) Душа Дракона – Солнечный луч.

Чудесный дракончик Пустоты 2-2-1, Сестра Сумрака 2-2-2, Эммигоса 1-1-1.
Делаем все по тактике описанной в примере, но когда приходит время заменить сестру на Эммигосу делаем так: Чародейская буря-Прилив мощи. Далее выходит Сестра: ловит врата бездны (ничего страшного)-Сумеречный огонь-Барьер призма. В итоге пока мы стоим за барьером Сумеречный огонь должен добить эту пакость. Наслаждайтесь победой!

AllauraRayne	This strategy was suggested by user Misty in the comments. This is the only strategy I could find that didn't require a Hermana de guarida Crepuscular and worked. Thank you, Misty! A few notes to put your best foot forward for this battle: Only the Prole de dracohalcón plateado S/S can be used here (cannot substitute with Golden, Red, etc). Make sure you've made yours rare as they are uncommon when first purchased. The extra bump in health and damage will definitely help! Emmigosa could be substituted for Vástago azur if your Dragón feérico abisal is a power breed as you will lose power switching from Azure to Emmigosa. Lastly, make sure Dragón feérico abisal has less health than Vástago azur and more health than Prole de dracohalcón plateado. If it doesn't, start the pet battle with Nether Fraerie in the first slot to reduce it's health. Then restart the battle in the format above and all is well!	Raza RNG	2	3.0	N/A	1	85 1:25	12
