Still worked nicely for me in prepatch, but with an adjustment. I used a P/S Raven, and needed an extra Alpha Strike on Carpe Diem. (The stats on Ravens and Crows were changed in Legion.)
I therefore suggest using THREE Alpha Strikes before Call Darkness, which is what I used after testing to finish it. You can of course use the third AS after Nocturnal Strike, but you run the risk of missing in Darkness, so better to do it up front. That should also take care of any Power issues with other breeds and with Crows, I hope.

Still working, after all these years. :)
I needed an extra Alpha Strike after NS, using a P/S breed of Raven, but that wasn't a problem.
