I completed this with a leveling pet +2 mechanical, it survived because it resurrects, so i'm assuming undead/mechanical pets can be lower lvl.

Undead pets still die, just another round.

The battle can in fact use even a lvl 1 pet, all what you need to do is bringing it in when the HoL recharges after Solar Beam.

Fairly sure it was mostly RnG, but my Mud Jumper wound up soloing this. Only used the first bubble as listed. It died on Herald of Light's ressurect, but with little enough health that the next tick of swarm would have gotten it anyway.
