Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Didn't have Gulp Froglet. Managed with Ghostshell Crab (1/2/2), Nameless Octopode (2/2/2), didn't use third pet (but choose something dodge-y, e.g. Dive).

1. Bubble
2+. Whirlpool whenever possible, Spirit Claws until Ghostshell Crab dies

(for me, Crab died right as his Cannon came off CD)
Pick in Nameless Octopode

1. Dive (Pilfer is recovering for 2 rounds)
2. Shadow Shock (still recovering)
3. Blinding Poison
4. Spam Shadow Shock, Dive if Cannon comes off CD

When dead switch to spawn and dive before the cannon. Thunderbolt and finish with Swallow
If spawn can't make it finish him with last pet

It worked for me after couple of tries. Its somewhat RNG due to Ghostshell Crab's Spirit Claw having a chance to miss. I used a 2-2-2 Puddle Terror as last pet. Worked for me.

Hello, pulled this from YouTube video from LAPZ gaming:
Puddle Terror 1/2/2
Gulp Froglet w/ speed greater than 264 1/2/2
Spawn of G'Nathus 1/1/1

1) clobber
2) punch
3) dive
swap to Gulp Froglet
1) toxic skin
2) water jet
3) corpse explosion
bring in Puddle Terror
1) punch
2) clobber
3) punch
4) dive
5) punch
6) punch
7) clobber if needed

Puddle Terror P/S level 24 followed above strat, second pet was a 25 Rare P/S Mongoose with Gnaw survival and dive, Spawn of G'nathus finished the fight. If you try to replicate watch when to use Survival to get in a last Gnaw before it dies. Done with Pilfer, again thanks for this site.

Chrisski rédigé le 2017-10-09 07:35:18

This worked and as long as Puddle gets killed by the massive attack, the order for the Mongoose is Gnaw, Gnaw, Dive, Survival, Dive, Dive, then you die, in comes G'nathus, and dive, thunderbolt, blood in waterx2 and barely win.

suutar rédigé le 2017-10-14 21:27:04

Puddle did die from massive, but mongoose went gnaw, gnaw, dive, survival, gnaw, gnaw (dive still on CD). Gnathus comes in and dive, tb, swallow, swallow, no problem.

Kathleene rédigé le 2017-10-27 00:36:01

Since my Slithershock Elver is only L3, I used this strategy with a P/S Mongoose Pup and the tweak of Spawn casting Dive on his first turn. The way my battle worked out, he has to do that or he dies immediately. Thanks to everyone for the great strategies and tweaks.

Water Jet
Dive
Water Jet until your Puddle Terror dies (If you get crit once - Restart fight)
Gulp Froglet in

Spawn of G'nathus in
Thunderbolt
Swallow You Whole

This (kind of) worked the second time for me (I got unlucky with RNG the first time.

The moves from Spawn don’t make a lot of sense to me (at least the first option), and I had to add in a Thunderbolt as those moves didn’t kill Pilfer. I think the first move options are mixed up - should be Thunderbolt if Pilfer has >538, not <538.

Nail rédigé le 2017-08-31 04:24:36

Because my Slithershock was not faster, I used a Tideskipper 1-2-2. After Puddle Terror takes the second cannon, Geyser -> Body Slam, Crush, Body Slam (Dead) Then Spawn of G'nathus with regular rotation to use Thunderbolt, Dive when needed and Swallow you Whole to finish him off.

Darkpuppy rédigé le 2017-10-08 16:28:06

Puddle terror is a must first off as you get two free hits at him - use the strategy listed - if die before next 2500k attack then wipe and restart - if you are alive usually with 3 health then carry on and next big attack kills you- use slivershock elver with dodge and spawn of gnathius with dive and you should be good as long as puddle terror was the one to die on his second big attack - don't be afraid to swap in a pet too handle his massive attack you have dodge and dive

Puddle terror 1-2-2
Spawn of Gn.athus 1-1-1
Slivershock elder 2-1-2

Hollo rédigé le 2017-10-07 20:01:01

Anonymous rédigé le 2017-09-01 10:39:46

Maybe you were extremely lucky with crits
Nail's version works perfectly

Anonymous rédigé le 2017-09-02 07:00:34

The strategy with Tideskipper should be the main one. Worked perfectly first time around. The above was a non-starter. Elver always dies too soon.

Skarvha rédigé le 2017-09-29 23:00:40

That one isn't working for me either. Even timing the blocks and dives. It doesn't have enough damage.

Shunai rédigé le 2017-08-29 21:40:15

I used Tiny White Carp (1-1-1) since I didn't have the second pet. Puddle Terror died on the second Antaen Cannon, so I used Cleansing Rain and Water Jet while Pilfer was recovering, then Dive on cooldown and Water Jet. Worked great!

dragonheals12 rédigé le 2017-09-27 22:36:54

Swapped the slithershock for a sea calf, because mine was too slow. Worked well, having surge go first let me get some extra hits in. Bubble to block, and devour to damage and heal.

Schahmaar rédigé le 2017-09-27 10:32:34

Inspired by ass' method I swapped Slithershock with Gahz'rooki. It's tight but doable. Nothing worth listing, though!
Terror: As above (one crit against you and you should cancel)
Gahz: Whirlpool, Swallow till dead (it's simply less random than slap)
Spawn: Probably Dive first (have a look at the Cannon!), Thunderbolt, Swallow

ass rédigé le 2017-09-25 03:13:56

puddle terror same as above but then hydraling with geyser and tail slap x2 until dead then use a s/s otter and gnaw then dive gnaw gnaw win

Schahmaar rédigé le 2017-09-27 10:14:46

First: Hydraling has no Geyser but Whirlpool. Second: Doesn't work at all...maybe with a lot of crit luck tried it several times with the exact setup. Don't waste your time on this one.

I guess the poster meant Gahz'rooki who actually has Geyser...still, without a lot of luck, it won't work.

Anonymous rédigé le 2017-09-24 06:37:03

Anonymous rédigé le 2017-09-05 00:33:52

Thanks for this. After failing with a lot of other things because I didn't have the right breed slithershock this worked first try.

Anonymous rédigé le 2017-09-03 15:52:51

I was getting unlucky with the slithershock turns, ended up doing dodge 1st and on cooldown with pumps in between. I also threw in a call ightning during the spawn rounds since it does way more dmg than swallow whole if pilfer is over 25% health.

PROFESSORLABCOAT rédigé le 2017-08-31 01:51:49

Didn't have my Slithershock Elver levelled up so I deviated from this strategy by using Gulp Froglet (1/2/1) in the second slot. I followed the guide up until Pilfer used his first Jar of Smelly Liquid on my Puddle Terror, then switched to the Gulp Froglet when he used Punch. This let the Froglet use Toxic Skin and then Swarm before being taken out by another Jar of Smelly Liquid, notably leaving Pilfer with 2 rounds of shattered defenses.

From there, Pilfer's Antaen Cannon was back off cooldown, so I used Dive to dodge it and get a big hit in with the debuff. After that I went back to the original strategy by Clobbering after Pilfer finished recharging, then using Water Jet and 1 more Dive before Puddle Terror was taken out. By the time Spawn of G'nathus came in Pilfer was low enough that 3 hits of Swallow You Whole easily finished the fight

Cerces rédigé le 2017-09-01 09:46:57

Thank you, worked first time

solitha rédigé le 2017-08-30 01:47:47

I had two Elvers, P/P and H/B. P/P failed pretty miserably. H/B made a huge difference, surviving longer and putting out a lot more damage.

That said, I think that if your Puddle Terror doesn't survive to take the 2nd Cannon, you'll probably have to restart the fight. Losing the Elver early really sucks the power out of this strategy.
