While I agreed with your statement that the Abyssius/Mana Wyrmling strat doesn't work - at least not for a H/P Wyrmling - I found this one worked perfectly for me.

Of course, most strats can be derailed by unlucky crits, so the Standard Advice applies:

If the strat failed for you, and you want your comment to be taken seriously:

1. Specify EXACTLY which species and breeds you used.

2. Specify whether you read the strategy from the site and executed it manually, or downloaded and used the tdScript.

3. Specify EXACTLY where the first unexpected thing happened, the first thing that deviated from what the strat predicts. What died too early? What didn't die when it was supposed to? What attack missed?

4. If possible, provide a log. You can see your log in the Pet Battle tab of your chat box. You can pull that out, make it bigger, screenshot it. Better still, you can use the addon Battle Pet Log Keeper from Curseforge, and do /pblk and Save Battle when the battle you want to log is complete.

Direbeak does not have to come in first, nor does it have to survive the battle. As listed above, my Direbeak was in the second pet slot and died during the fight and I got credit for completion. Good luck!

This fight has the issue of the curse of doom from the Breezy Book and Helpful Spirit. I used Anubisath Idol (1,1,1), Youngling Flayer (1,2,2) *Honestly you can probably use any humanoid you like, and Direbeak Hatchling, of course. Keep sandstorm up and use deflection on the same round curse of doom reads "1 round", this should prevent all hits from curse of doom through the fight. Otherwise use Crush as filler. If your idol dies you should have made it far enough to mop up the moth with your remaining pets.

Thank you! Anubisath Idol (1,1,1) almost solo'd this fight. The moth can be cleaned up with any beast pet including the Direbeak. I had the Flayer Youngling so I used that. The key is using deflection the round they use Curse of Doom or Moth Dust.

I used Sunborne Valkyr and Tylarr Gronnden. Sunborne Valkyr did Holy Justice (stuns), Holy Charge, then Omnislash 3xs, and repeat Holy Justice (stuns), Holy Charge and Omnislash 4xs and Sunborne dies. Then Crush, (Breezy Book dies) Crush, heal and Crush (Helpful Spirit dies) using Tylar and he dies. This left Delicate Moth with about 300 health and Direbeak with 120 health (with equal speeds), uses Predatory Strike for the win. It was close but it worked.

On my first two tries this failed miserably. My direbeak was almost dead when the moth came in and the moth didn't let me get a single hit in.

On my third try the direbeak was still at half health and I used Ironskin during the Helpful Spirit's resurrection, so that blocked one of the moth's stuns. I got lucky and the other one missed, so was able to get it down.

So this is heavily RNG-dependent, and you might want to Ironskin during the Helpful Spirit's rez turn, so you're already armed for the moth.
