Failed 3 times in a row before the RNG gods were kind. I'd bring a flying pet with Predatory Strike or some large attack if you want to avoid RNG.

Accidentally took my PS Ikky in at 75% health and he still nearly soloed it, bless the OPed fellow. If you want to level the pet then letting him die might be an option.

Sl pre patch : worked as intended even with a leveling pet lvl 8 (~530hp). It was close, but it worked. (editado)

Ikky normally kills him on his own without the need for another pet. Also the EXP you get is completly worthless so no need to add a leveling pet. (editado)

Uhh......First time using this strat and my Ikky (P/S) solo'd this with just Black Claw and Flock. It didn't even get that close to dying, and so I never got a chance to use MPD or got experience for Carry Pet. @_@

I just tried it again. I had lucked out the first time and Ti'un never used Pump twice, so I was able to solo it. He used it twice the second attempt.

Very similar experience myself. First time, Ikky soloed. Second time, my carry pet had to finish the battle. Fortunately, I was using a L24 carry pet, so it wasn't a problem. Seems to be a bit of RNG. Still, I did win the fight both times, so thanks for the strategy.
