This strategy still works pre-patch Shadowlands. Mind you, dont use Benax as an alternative he is too slow. Use the Mud Jumper (H/B) or the Swamp Croaker (H/B). Any Moth will do the job.

I tried with Benax, and it died with Socks still at 634 HP, before even getting to use Tongue Lash a third time. At 244 speed, Benax might not be fast enough to be a reliable alternative to the Croaker in this strat. (editado)

Worked fine for me on the first try. Maybe you did something wrong? Then again, Tongue Lash doesn't have a set amount of damage and Rikki has a 25% chance to dodge, so maybe you are extremely unlucky.

used HB croaker and P/S Amber Moth per the instructions and it worked fine. I did throw in a Moth Dust at the end which did 688 damage. your milage may vary ;)
