Tried this in SL prepatch with a lvl 15 flyer (Cobalt Raven) and it got killed , the dmg from murray's AoE chewed off half health, and the one abillity from Old Blue killed it - no xp :(

It wasn't me, but I can see why your comment was downvoted. I have a standard explanation I will paste below explaining.

Standard Note to those who leave unhelpful comments like "It didn't work" with no details.

There are several people who investigate reports of problems with strategies on Xu-Fu's. There are designated Strategy Curators, and other regulars who read comments and are interested in the latest.

In my experience, when people leave a short "It didn't work" note, they usually made a mistake. Maybe they used a pet with the wrong Speed, maybe they didn't do a Pass where it was indicated, sometimes they were even using the team and strat from a completely different battle. :)

Sometimes there genuinely is a problem with the strat. This is where the Curators and others come in, checking the strat for weaknesses, and fixing it or removing it if it can't be fixed.

Since most failure reports with no details are wrong, it's not good to waste people's time investigating them. Instead, help them by providing the information they need.

If the strat failed for you, and you want your comment to be taken seriously:

1. Specify EXACTLY which species and breeds you used.

2. Specify whether you read the strategy from the site and executed it manually, or downloaded and used the tdScript.

3. Specify EXACTLY where the first unexpected thing happened, the first thing that deviated from what the strat predicts. What died too early? What didn't die when it was supposed to? What attack missed?

4. If possible, provide a log. You can see your log in the Pet Battle tab of your chat box. You can pull that out, make it bigger, screenshot it. Better still, you can use the addon Battle Pet Log Keeper from Curseforge, and do /pblk and Save Battle when the battle you want to log is complete.

Almost any strat can fail to a really unlucky string of crits, and some difficult challenge strats like the Family ones may fail more than anyone likes, but the people behind this site do their best to promote well-working strats. Do your part. Provide useful information.

Post-8.1 did they nerf all the xp gains for leveling pets? Delia only gave me 198xp with safari hat and a level 15 pet. I don't remember what it was before though...

Chi Chi easily solos this fight if you if you keep tranq up and use Ethereal to avoid the whirlpool.

Everything worked! I messed up and didnt use Tranq on turn 2, and still managed to kill the first 2 pets with just Chi-Chi. Jade Owl mopped up the last one. :D

I tried this three times, and I had the same problem. The only way this works is if you keep Tranquility active, so the strat just needs to be adjusted a little bit.

Chi-Chi almost soloed this fight for me. If I'd used Ethereal when the whirlpool went off, she probably would have made it through all three pets!

Just like on Crab People in Drustvar, I was able to solo this with Enchanted Pen (1,1,1).

When it comes up again I'll be sure to do that. I know I start out with Evanescence, then Forboding Curse and Quills until 1st pet is down. And I *think* I did something similar against the rest, but like I said, I'll write it down next time. The folly of not having 12 max characters at the moment, I can't come up with a strat then use the rest to test xD

Wasn't able to replicate it, (must have gotten lucky with 3 quill hits) but it is a decent alternative to Chi-Chi if people haven't done the celestial tournament. Enchanted Pen (1,1,1), everything else the same from the strat above.

Evanescence
Forbding Curse
Quills

After that rotation, use Evanescence on CD, keep Forboding Curse up, and otherwise Quills. Usually you'll die on Murray, sometimes I could make it to Old Blue to get a Forboding curse off. Once Enchanted Pen dies, follow the strat above.

its easier to figure out what something is if you leave the names intact. also using pet id makes it harder to tell which pet is going in. there's also a safeguard in this script in case Chi-Chi gets too frisky and tries to solo the whole thing.

Chi-ji killed both 1st and 2nd pet , i then swapped in levelpet when last pet comes in - he casts whirlpool - so with that i could've used even a lvl 1 pet ( as it takes no dmg at all)

had to try a couple times, my chi-chi hatchling didnt kill murray, resulting in jade owl taking too much damage and unable to finish.. maybe i was getting unlucky crits against me, I wasn't paying attention.

I did this strat but I mopped up the 2nd and 3rd pet with the Ashwing Moth. Ashwing Moth was 1-2-1
