used H/P Moonshell Crab: 2,1,1 to cleave easily through Gulp, through egberts first phase, and halfway through Red Wire. Pretty straightforward, just keep shield and renewing mist up, water jet to fill.

Used a Ghostshell Crab, 1-2-2, followed steps for Emperor Crab until he died on Red Wire, brought in Ghostshell Crab brought Red Wire down pretty low and used Bubble to block his explosion. Spirit Claws until Egcellent is dead

My crab wasn't 25 yet so I used Magical Crawdad (1-2-2). I followed same order except used Wish on CD after 1st shell shield.

Using the Crawdad and Wish worked much better for me than using the crab. I don't know if it was because I have an H/H emperor crab or what, but thank you for your input! I also used a turtle with Bite at the end to help finish the fight off quickly with Egcellent.

Emperor Crab P/P can almost solo this fight. I used the Second pet just to give one hit to Egcellent

You say to use Paralyzing Shock with Gnathus, but you have it set to Thunderbolt?
