They have nerfed this boss. If you use Crimson you can use any spore with 1400HP or more.

I actually started to create a similar strat under the fliers when I was experimenting with leveling strats, inspired by yours but basically came out the same due to the nerf, I have changed it to credit you but if you want to create it, I'll delete mine :)
