Kept swapping in my third pet instead of the Chitterspine, fyi. So I would recommend putting a pet in slot 3 that also has swarm.

This strat is great! I choose to swap out Benax for Jubling so I could have Benax for a later fight & have a critter w/undead damage in 3rd slot just in case. :) (edited)

My third pet was brought in and had to do some damage. I had a rabbit in slot #3, but anything is probably fine as long as it isn't doing Dragonkin damage.

My H/B Tree Frog got swapped out before it could get off its Swarm of Flies, but my S/S Chitterspine Skitterling still soloed Sludge Belcher.

A breed requirement may be necessary here if the "fast" tag is staying.

iirc the sludge belcher has just 195ish speed, so every pet should be able to attack first. the only stat requirement there is right now is the power of >244.
i'll look at that on the next reset
