My Viscidus Globule didn't manage to unleash Creeping Ooze a second time, but I kept on going with the strategy as written and still won.

I subbed Toxic Wasteling (1,2,1) for first pet since I didn't have it. Creeping ooze (to keep debuff up) > Expunge > Ooze Touch. Worked great as a sub, got 2nd enemy down to 300-600 health before it died. Might have to adjust Pen's rotation due to the sub; I used Dodge, then Quill to finish 2nd enemy. 3rd enemy fight as written above. (edited)
