Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

Stefania wrote on 2017-08-30 13:44:23

for those without squirrels (as me) i used:
Mascottstein: x-x-1 (just the corpse explosion)
and as 3rd pet Macabre Marionette: x-x-1 (just the dance/flock)

Anony wrote on 2017-08-30 22:53:33

Thank you! The Marionette <3

Good tip! Also Mascottstein is Weebomination in Italian for those who didn't know.

Sopherra wrote on 2018-09-21 05:16:55

I started with Val'kyr as above, but used Ghost Maggot (S/S) with 1/1/2. After Haunt, you bring him in and use Stench then hit him with Chomp until it's on 1 round. Used Ghostly Bite when Maggot died. Takes a bit of luck.

Kodex wrote on 2017-10-04 21:41:32

Even better, use Unborn Valk + Infected squirrel. But instead of using corpse explosion, use stampede. So, this:
Shadow Slash > Doom > Haunt > Creeping Fungus > Stampede > win

HellCat wrote on 2017-10-25 00:01:23

Thank you, this actually helped <3

UBV (221) stitched pup (12X) Ghostly Skull (122)

1. SS
2. Doom
3. Haunt

4. Bite until UDR
4b. Howl

5. Ghostly Bite (should be dead)
6. Pass
7. SS unless it's UDR, then Unholy Ascension. (if SUPER low health you can risk SS anyways... should be dead though)

SS with val'k if necessary

Aola wrote on 2018-04-11 00:41:19

This worked for me, but I should point out that for Ghostly Bite, Ghostly Skull has to be 112.

Ruta wrote on 2018-02-09 09:04:04

Forgot to change my Infected Squirrel's abilities so just went Rabid Strike | Stampede...works better: no third pet required. ;D

Kayllisti wrote on 2017-09-14 03:38:41

I don't have a lot of options for undead at lvl 25, so I had to work with what I had. Here's what worked:
Unborn Val'kyr (1, 2, 1)
Restless Shade (1, 1, 2)
Scourged Whelpling (1, 1, 3)

Start with Val'kyr
-Curse of Doom
-Shadow Slash
-Haunt
Swap to Restless Shade
-Phase Shift
-Plagued Blood
-Shadow Slash
-Shadow Slash
-Shadow Slash
Shade dies, Bring back Val'kyr
-Shadow Slash
-Shadow Slash
Val'kyr dies, Bring out Scourged Whelpling
-Shadow Flame, Ruinhoof died here

Good luck!

Nice strat but kept ending in a double KO for me may depend on breeds

garbage1 wrote on 2017-11-12 16:28:58

This strat is garbage 4 attempts doesnt work not enough damage and taking to much gotta remember this thing turns into a critter and does a ton of damage.

What a beautiful strategy! It went just like well-oiled clockwork. My L23 Blighted Squirrel (the highest-level one I had) took Ruinhoof down with one round of stampede! With, of course, a lot help from all the sacrifices and assists of his fellow teammates. Lazey, I find myself congratulating and thanking you a lot for strategies these days. :) You must be our Legion Master Battler!

Blowmyarrow wrote on 2017-10-13 16:10:43

Unborn Val'kyr 2,2,1 and Bone Serpent 1,2,1 did the job.
Course of Doom - Haunt, Call Darkness - Nocturnal Strike - Bone Barrage 'til your serpent is dead. Brinkg back the Val'kyr and finish the fight with Shadow Shock

Argent wrote on 2017-10-14 14:33:51

The only way this would work is if you get super lucky with a Darkness miss. Otherwise Ruinhoof kills the Bone Serpent with 2k damage on its first turn.

Briarmoon wrote on 2017-10-07 13:14:54

My squirrels weren't leveled, so I found this strat online;

Unborn Val'kyr 221
Son of Sethe 221
Stitched Pup 122

Start with Unborn Val'kyr
-Curse of Doom, Shadow Shock, Haunt
Bring in Son of Sethe
-Touch of the Animus, Drain Blood, Plagued Blood until dead
Bring in Stitched Pup
-Howl, Diseased Bite

Jaye wrote on 2017-09-01 20:10:56

Ghastly Kid + Infected Squirrel + Zomstrok
Haunt
Creeping Fungus, Stampede
Rot, Carpanado

Jackieleggss wrote on 2017-10-01 01:39:38

Worked perfectly for me. Just swapped the Zomstrok for Bone Serpent. Killed it with Call of Darkness, one shot.

Nemmesiss wrote on 2017-09-26 14:06:47

Didn't have blighted squirrel so I used Macabre Marionette dead mans party in place of stampede and worked just fine

Yewfire wrote on 2017-09-12 07:02:59

Worked first time. Thanks!

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-11 21:22:43

I used a unborn val'kyr 1,2,1, and a lvl 21 infected squirrel 2,2,2; never needed the 3rd pet. I didn't corpse explode I did the creeping fungus then a stampede for turn 2. squirrel died but so did ruinhoof.
