High XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 1+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Oh my gosh!! This worked so well. My MPD almost solo'd the whole fight and I had to pass a turn so it could die. Brought in my Darkmoon Zeppling and exploded. 14000+ XP with Safari Hat and this being the Pet Battles Bonus Event. Thank you!

My Darkmoon Zeppelin isn't lvl 25, so I've used Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling (1, 2, 2) and Iron Starlette (1, 1, 2 - as long as you have explode the other 2 don't matter). MPD solo's the first 2 opposing pets and dies mid-fight on the 3rd. IS came in, used powerball then explode. 3rd opposing pet died, and my levelling pet got huge xp bonus.

Mechanical Dragonling does so well, 2nd pet can probably be anything with explode, to feed your 3rd pet.

Works well with Iron Starlette 1 2 2

Did this fight for Direbeak Team Rumble where you need A Direbeak Hatchling with 2 Humanoid pets for 3 Pet Battle World Quests. Here's what I had in case anyone else was interested:

Flayer Youngling (2,2,2) Curious Oracle Hatcling (2,1,1) Direbeak Hatchling (1,2,1)

1-3: Rampage
4: Deflection
5: Triple Snap (Fido Dies)
6: Triple Snap until Dead. Bring in Oracle.
7: Backflip
8: Acidic Goo until Seer's Eye is dead.
9: Water Jet until Oracle is dead. Bring in Direbeak.
10: Ironskin
11: Falcosaur Swarm!
12: Predatory Strike (Flickering Fel Should die here)
13: Falcosaur Swarm until Flickering Fel dies.

Eilhan wrote on 2017-10-19 20:25:50

Changed script a bit to make the fight faster and more stable (Yes, nested IF statements work):

if [enemy(#1).active]
ability(334) [self.round=1]
ability(115)
endif
if [enemy(#2).active]
ability(779)
ability(115)
endif
if [enemy(#3).active]
if [self(#1).active]
ability(334)
ability(779)
ability(115)
endif
change(#2) [self(#1).dead]
ability(282) [enemy.hp<=618]
ability(777)
endif

Eilhan wrote on 2017-10-21 06:21:38

Shortened the script a bit, and added a condition to prevent MPD from soloing all 3 enemies, preventing XP for the level pet (A very rare occurrence):

standby [enemy(#3).hp<618 & self(#1).active]
ability(334) [!enemy(#2).active & !self(#2).active]
ability(779) [!enemy(#1).active]
ability(115)
change(#2) [self(#1).dead]
ability(282) [enemy.hp<=618]
ability(777)

Strategy works great

Can anyone tell me how to use these scripts?

Eekwibble

wrote on 2018-03-12 16:34:52

@Invincible#1811, download Rematch and Tdpetbattlescript Rematch from Curse then look on YouTube for setup instructions.

I've tweaked this a little. I removed the unnecessary [...& !self(#2).active] from line 2 and [self(#1).dead] from line 5, added a quit clause in case of strat failure from too many crits, added a clause to use Thunderbolt against Fido if its hp is low enough to be killed, prevented TB from being used against Seer's Eye as it's better off being saved for Flickering Fel, and added a clause to use TB against FF only if FF's hp is above TB's crit threshold.

quit [ self(#2).dead & enemy.active ]
standby [ enemy(#3).hp<618 & self(#1).active ]
ability(779) [ enemy(#1).active & enemy.hp<163 ]
ability(334) [ !enemy(#2).active ]
ability(779) [ enemy(#3).active & enemy.hp>725 ]
ability(115)
change(#2)
ability(282) [ enemy.hp<=618 ]
ability(777)

Eekwibble

wrote on 2018-03-30 10:02:16

change line 4 to 'ability(334) [ !enemy(#2).active & !self.aura(333).exists ]' to prevent Zep from casting Decoy on its first round if it still has a charge from MPD.

Kathleene wrote on 2017-10-13 13:01:52

The difference in XP offered by the different battles is extremely inconsistent. This morning, I battled Heliosus and The Nameless Mystyc. Both battles benefitted from Sign of the Critter, Safari Hat, and Lesser and Standard Pet Treats. With Heliosus, Cinder Kitten received 1463 XP and gained one level, from 11 to 12. With The Nameless Mystic, she received 18,191 XP and gaind 12 levels, from 12 to 24. I wonder why the difference? That is, I know the difference is because it's programmed that way, but I wonder what the reasoning is behind having such differences.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-10-19 20:26:18

depends on what type of pet your level 1 is.. some pets get that difficulty bonus

Remte

wrote on 2018-02-08 14:00:54

A bit late! Alas.
A rule of thumb that used to work up to Legion, and still works but is not enough, is that high experience fights are these which have tamers. Heliosus is not a tamer fight, and on the top of that it's a single pet, so it yields far less.
Still, some Legion WQs also give high experience even without a clear tamer, I think the murloc fight in Azsuna is one of them.
Interesting that your example mentioned a level 11 pet, as level 10 and 11 get the most exp while facing level 25 opponents.
A Jerebear's post on Warcraft Pets shows as much info as possible on that subject:

TD Script

if [ enemy(#2).active ]
ability(Decoy:334)
ability(Thunderbolt:779)
endif
ability(Thunderbolt:779) [ self.aura(Mechanical:244).exists ]
ability(Explode:282) [ enemy.hp < 618 ]

Leaving spell names in helps tweak the script later on when you learn a new technique

Seems that this battle got tougher with the latest update/patch. My Zep keeps getting killed.

Zane wrote on 2017-06-22 04:30:21

Try this instead, has worked for me every single time without fail. Gives your MPD a few extra breaths above and beyond what the recommended strat offers.

Decoy
Thunderbolt
Breath until Thunderbolt is off CD
Thunderbolt
Breath until Seer's Eye dies
Decoy
Breath until your MPD dies

Bring in Zepp

Missile til 618 HP (Although it should be below that already)
Explode

Unless you had some freakishly bad RNG and your MPD got crit a whole lot, you won't even need to use Missile at all.

Dave O wrote on 2017-06-23 20:07:22

Thanks Zane. That worked today. :)

Kessyra wrote on 2017-07-09 18:12:50

Yes thanks! My Zepp kept dying too early too.

Mergas wrote on 2017-07-28 02:50:47

Read these comments and tried your strat instead of the one above. Worked great!

Eekwibble wrote on 2017-08-14 11:43:16

I don't bother with Thunderbolt until Flickering Fel comes out. The initial Decoy followed by Breath until the 1st 2 pets are dead usually leaves MPD alive to soak Scortched Earth, rez and pop Decoy, then Thunderbolt > Breath until MPD dies. That usually does enough damage to the 3rd that all you need from the Zep is Explode, sometimes you need 1 Missile 1st, not often.

Kathleene wrote on 2017-09-13 19:40:44

What Eekwibble said! I've used this strategy a number of times, and my Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling has always lasted until time for Zeppelin to come in and Explode. Maybe I've just been lucky, but it's worked for me every time. Thanks, Eekwibble!

ziboo wrote on 2017-10-04 02:03:15

This worked much better than the original strat, which failed 2x. Having a bad pet battling day or else they've been changing things up the past few days! Thanks
