We are blessed by Blizzard with a bunch of codes to give away in celebration of the extremely smooth launch of Shadowlands :-)
Up for grabs are:

How to enter? Simple! Just reply to this news post and answer the following question:
Does or did the available pets unique to a specific covenant influence your decision in selecting your covenant? If so, which pet is it?

When commenting, please make sure to add:

  • The region you're playing in
  • A way for us to contact you. Having an account here is ideal but we can work with pretty much anything

Deadline to enter is end of Sunday 29th and all codes will be raffled out at random on Monday 30th :-)

Not really, did plan to play all covenants anyway because of the pets. Chose Kyrian for my main because I found them to have the most visually pleasing mail armor.

i an embarrassed to say that i didn't look if there were pets specific to covenents. i likely would have picked Kyrian either way as it's a good one for my bear.

I have everything except the game time, so if i win pets or mount please pass to the next person (editado)

Like most everybody, it was not the deciding factor. I will do all convents with the alts. I am happy to unlock pets and mounts and it gives me a goal to work towards.

Yes it did. My first 60 is my scribe who is an rp/mog toon rather than raiding, so I selected Kyrian. Its not quite the llamacorn I'd hoped for, but we're getting close! Fa la la la la llalama and other seasons greetings! (editado)

I was learning towards Kyrian but seeing Indigo and Steward Featherling just sealed the deal fo rme.

No it didn't influence me. Even though I really really wanted to go Kyrian for the cute mini-Steward pet, I chose Venthyr so that I can maximise dps for my frost mage.

Like everyone else, I'm also alt crazy, so I'll get all the pets eventually. But I did have a really hard time staying focused while leveling in Bastion. I was trying to catch every single pet I came across >_>;;

I knew I was going to go NF...However, I did not want to hurt my DPS, then I saw for sure they had the Unicorn. It was over. NF it is! I also now have leveled Alts for the first time. For End game content and I have been playing since 2004 nonstop. I also already have my kitty laser for Smelly Cat *starts singing*

Yes, Night Fae seems to have the most, including Willowbreeze the unicorn, and I like the look of the Leafadore model.
I'm on EU. Don't have much time to game so will be some time before I get my alts into different covenants.

Each of them has their charms but I too plan to get them all and have characters to spare. I'm a slow leveler so haven't got there yet but my choice of first Covenant will be more to do with story than any available purchases. That said, it will probably net me those cute little trees or the backbone more quickly!

It did not.

The story behind each, along with the zone aesthetics were the primary factors. Add in that the combat ability for Night Fae is overpowered and it seemed like a no-brainer. Also, as a druid, THESE ARE MY PEOPLE!

To be honest, I'm stubborn with Night Fae, so yes, it did affected my decision. I'm into faeries, trees, plants, and flowers! I do hope Blizzard will make it somehow easier to grab all pets on your main toon.

My main is going for Kyrian based on what's best for M+ but I will be leveling alts for all covenants to get all pets - gotta catch em all! If I had to choose a covenant based on a pet it would also be Kyrian, for the featherlings. Contact BNET pls (editado)

Ah, not really. I love the Kyrian and how aloof they are. I do love the visuals of the Baston area and the pets around that. But I do intend on getting all the convenents for all the pets (am currently #1 on my server) . US server :)

As I've heard it said "gotta catch them all" is pretty much my thing. I'm choosing a covenant more around the look of gear, class ability and my character's fit for their theme. I do have enough characters that I will have each covenant covered and will have all pets :). Thanks

I don't know what the covenant specific pets are since I didn't have beta or anything, but I know that I have many characters and am bound to have at least one character in each covenant with which to get all the pets :).

My main is definitely going Kyrian for roleplay reasons but I think the featherlings would have influenced that decision regardless. That said, I fully intend to run several alts through SL to get all of them eventually anyway!

I had to choose Night Fae for my hunter because of the overall aesthetics, but the pets here are adorable so I don't mind. I'm trying to collect them all though so I have a lot of grinding ahead of me. Good luck all :)

I really want to play Kyrian (and have chosen it) but am struggling with the bright graphics all the time so may switch to Maldraxxus just so I can look at the screen. Yes. While I did not chose the covenant with the best pet (looking at you Jiggles), the pets influenced a lot in my decision. Night fae has so many cool pets and Trootie is my second favorite of the renown pets.

I do plan on leveling all four covenants in order to get all the pets, but I'm going with Night Fae first because of Choofa... who isn't actually a pet, but I wish he was... does that count?

Serious answer, though, the fact that Night Fae have the most new pets, plus Sir Reginald, influenced me to pick them first.

EDIT: I discovered Floofa, so I am happy. Still Night Fae, tho. :)

yes i chose kyrian because i heard they have easier/faster access to the battle pets from the other covenants (apparently it will cost a lot more pet charms to get them, but i am fine with that because i am swimming in like 10k pet charms lol). thanks for doing this giveaway!

I have too much to work at the moment, so I will play Shadowlands this weekend for the first time and have no covenant yet. I think about starting with the covenants I don't want to keep to get the pets an then chosse the covenant I really want. As I don't go for raids or something like that, it should not matter that much, which covenant I have. I just hope that will work.

It was the deciding factor! I did not want BIS as I know the numbers will change (and fae are BIS for all my characters) so for aesthetics & roleplay it was between Kyrion & Necrolord and I just had to go for Jiggles. (editado)

My answer: My covenant of choice (Kyrian) has not been influenced by the pets available to that covenant, because all pets are special and deserve to be loved regardless of covenant restrictions!

I certainly checked what my chosen covenant pets were, as I am a raider I have taken the best option for raiding but it worked perfectly as Nightfae is my chosen and also holds my first favourite pet that I want! Sir Reginald! Nightfae for me has the best pets.

I actually didn't even know what pets were available when selecting my covenant because I didn't do any research (whoops!). I chose Venthyr because I play a rogue & it seemed the most appropriate. Although, if the Maldraxxus pet I saw in datamining articles is available, I definitely am going to join that covenant with an alt, most likely my DK.

Because my main is resto druid - Night Fae was a solid choice - I really like their pets, mounts and even the covenant ability seems powerful and fun even there is some RNG in it. Thanks a lot for this amazing giveaway.

In Bastion, haven't chosen a convenant yet. I will probably choose it by best dps or spec enhancements. Although, I don't like the look of some of the areas, I will probably put adds in some just for the pets etc.

Yes, the pets (as well as the mounts and transmogs) specific to certain covenants did greatly influence my inclinations and decisions. For me personally, the Nightfae are the clear first choice... I absolutely love their pets, mounts, transmogs, and the general area, and they also seem to have more covenant-specific pets than the others. Luckily I have enough alts that I can cover all the covenants across my characters, since despite having preferences I still would like to eventually collect the various offerings... but Nightfae covenant, followed second by Kyrian, were definitely my primary focuses.

I chose my main convenant ( Ardenweald ) based on the general aesthetic of it ( including available pets ;) ) I only have one alt ( for the moment :P ), and the covenant choice will definetly be based on pets exclusivly ( gotta check them again to be sur of my choice XD )

My decision when it came to selecting a covenant was not driven by the pets available the covenant. Having said that, I will level up different characters over time, and hope to get everything in the end. (editado)

SL Covenant Pets didn't influence my decision, I made my decision purely based on what Wowhead's guides recommend for each specialization.
I have already gathered quite a lot of pets in SL though, and loaded up all SL teams before SL launched to be ready thanks to the strategies people added on here.

Its the reason i need to level alts so i am able to have all pets. I`ve been collecting since vanilla when loads of people tought it was stupid. No, they didn't influence my decision, since I am a sucker for all things nature and fae (plus i am a druid), I knew the night fae were for me. It just happens to be a bonus that they have some cute pets lol. But I hope to make alts and get all of them eventually! <3

No. I'm going to go based on the characters and qualities of the covenant as I level. I am going to just go with the one I like the "personality" and what they stand for the best.
I want to level 4 characters total in Shadowlands so I can get all the pets eventually though.

I went with what made sense as a druid (night fae), the pets they have (or dont have) are less relevant since I will most likely go through the other 3 on alts to pick up any pets that I feel worth it.

It helped me decide between the top two recommended covenants for my class. The Kyrian pet, Ruffles, is way cooler than the Night Fae pet.
