Had to buy the 2nd corrupted blood from the AH, but they are pretty cheap. Leveled it up with a round of Draenor trainers and a couple of training stones.

Tried this one with Wildfire (only comes in H/H) and because it has more HP than Pandaren Water Spirit (only comes in H/S) the strat didn't work - so it doesn't really work as an alternative to Corrupted Blood.

it does work just need to use wildfire first and corrupted blood last

Didn't have a second Corrupted Blood, so made a tiny iteration to the strategy and it worked. Although the last turn of the battle is RNG but it should work 2 out of every 3 tries.

I used:
Corrupted Blood
Pandaren Water Spirit
Stormwrath (Tiny Twister and Zepharian Prince should also work) but Power breed is optimal.

1 - Pass - Pandaren Water Spirit is forced in
2 - Geyser
3 - Dive
4 - Swap to Corrupted Blood
5 - Explode
6 - Swap in Stormwrath
7 - Pass - Pandaren Water Spirit is forced in
8 - Geyser
9 - Dive
10 - Pass - Stormwrath is switched in
11 - Call Lightning
12 - Slicing Winds - RNG here as it has to hit 2 of the 3 times unless you crit earlier on.

Can confirm strat works perfectly! I opted for the Tiny Twister over the Prince (I lack a Stormwrath) and killed him before Slicing Winds was even needed. Thanks a ton for the alternative!

Worked perfectly on the first try, Zepharian Prince finished him off with call lightning, giving me the achievement. Finally, I don't have to deal with this one ever again! Thank you!!

Corrupted Blood should be dirt cheap on the AH. Worth buying if you're missing pets from other strats besides Pandaren Water Spirit.

Got him down to 2hp on first attempt. 4 more tries later, CB/PWS/CB strat was successful.
