Didn't have the pets above, but little Fleeting Frog (2-2-1) and Left Shark (2-2-2) totally saved my fight! Frog Kiss as often as possible, Cleansing Rain, and then in with Left Shark to use Dazzling Dance. Use whatever third pet you brought to clean up the last, I used Benax.

Couldn't get the above strats to work so finally did Mongoose, 2,1,2, Aqua srtider, 1,2,2, and a Mongoose pup, 2,2,2. Opened with gnaw, dive, and gnaw. On Globs, I used the Strider with pump, water jet, water jet, pump, healing wave, repeated til Aqua Strider died. When Nightmare came in I dived with pup and then gnawed until Nightmare died.

Didn't have the Spawn of G'nathus so tried this strat. Tried a couple times but could not get the Strider to succeed against Globs-only made it halfway thru first round of attacks and died (tried a couple times with same result).

However, the P/S Mongoose worked brillantly against Trixy following your strat (could not get it to work, however, with the S/S Mongoose). So I used your strat with P/S Mongoose and then followed rest of Alt 1 with Crab and Strider. Success!!

I do not have a Spawn of G'nathus leveled up so I had to find an alternate solution. I found one from a comment on Wowhead by Psyberomega. I did have to change one of the pets since I didn't have a left shark leveled up, I just used Gahz'rooki which has the same two abilities mentioned. I followed what he said except I used screech first and then Dive, but the rest is the same.

By: Psyberomega (from Wowhead comments)
All aquatic team

I used:

Mongoose (2,1,2)
Fen Crab (1,2,2)
Left Shark (2,2,1)

Opened with Gnaw and then Dive to avoid his Nether Gate and then Gnaw spammed until my Mongoose died. Fen Crab came out and I opened with Shell Shield and then Rip and Blood in the Water. (With this combo refresh Shell Shield when it has 1 round remaining, use Blood in the Water when target is bleeding and you're not refreshing Shell Shield and [ Rip] as filler). When Left Shark comes out, just use Tail Slap until their pet is under 25% health and then use Swallow You Whole.

In my case, Ghostshell Crab couldn't perform next Spirit Spikes while recommended because there had been a 1 round cooldown on it yet. Other than that, it went pretty well, though I can understand the RNG anxiety.

I used Mud Jumper in the second spot (1/1/1). Bubbling through the Expunge is the key here. Any Water pet with some kind of block should work here.

Globs killed my Ghostshell Crab because I had lots of misses on Spirit Claws, and yet my Strider could still take out both pets in the end. Don't forfeit even if you get lots of misses. Nice strat! Thanks!

Emperor crab works just as well as ghostshell. Keep up shell shield and renewing mists and snap in between. My Spawn of G'nathus lived another 2 rounds past where your guide said it should, so this fight was pretty easy.

Instead of Ghostshell Crab, I used Hydraling 2/1/1. I followed the rest of the strategy exactly, but brought in Hydraling when Spawn of G'nathus died. I then did Call Lightning, Tail Slap, Shell Armor, Tail Slap until Globs dies. Tail slap until Hydraling dies.

I had some bad RNG and this still worked perfectly.
