Don't reset if your pet does not die when it's "supposed to". My Elderhorn died "too soon" because of the 24 health left on Battery, but Baby Blizzard Bear is faster than Battery so you just attack once and it's dead.
My Son of Skum did not die either at the right time, and I managed to apply "shattered defenses" on Slasher and killed him with Baby Blizzard Bear.

Strategy doesn't work as written. Turn 7 always ends in battery w/ 24hp unless you get a crit.
