Doesn't work. Gorefu still has 160 health left after explode. If you use toxic smoke first and then wind-up x2 and then explode then it does work. （已編輯）
So I found an alt without a L3 Garrison and upgraded it to take the quest.
It's a very simple battle. Your Starlette is not going to die from damage, and there are no type advantages, so it's just simple arithmetic.
All Explodes will do at least 560 damage (more for higher health) and GoreFu has 1318, so 758 from the Wind-Up guarantees a win.
Wind-Up will do the stated damage +10% for the buff.
For P/P, that's 893.
For H/P, P/B and P/S, it's 804.
For H/H, it's 732. (But H/H Explode does 690, so H/H will work.
So I am now stumped to understand what breed won't work. tranquilsea, what breed were you running, and was it a Level 25 Blue?

A 3 round win is still technically doable, but 4-5 rounds has much better success for leveling with this strat:
