Sternfathoms Pet Journal is a new way to introduce a pet battle quest in Legion.
The item as you can see is a toy located in a treasure chest in Aszuna. Below map shows you the location, and to make it even easier, Cymre kindly created a video guide how to find it.
Using the journal in Aszuna summons a Shipwrecked Captive who offers a weekly pet battle quest that yields 4 Pet Charms when completed.
The fight itself is not very hard and can be used to level pets. Currently in the beta, as long as you do not hand in the quest, the fight can be repeated endlessly and is therefore a very good source for pet experience.
This is very likely to be fixed at some point!
The "chest" is actually a dead shipwrecked captive, down in a cave under the big rock formation, at 49.40 45.40. The book is still available as of the date I'm posting this.

This toy will not show up in your Toy Box in game unless you are in Azsuna!
I checked to see if I had this toy when I was in Dalaran but it didn't show up. I ran around the countryside trying to get this toy and was confused when I was unable to. When I checked my Toy Box again in Azsuna I could see I already had it! /facepalm
Up to you! If you want to repeat the quest endlessly, don't turn in the quest. If you want the quest reward, turn it in :-)

Hier, beim Schiffbrüchiger Gefangener, stimmt aber einiges nicht.
Die EXP für die Pets ist minimal.
Auch sind die antretenden Pets (Aquatisch, Untod und Kleintier) nicht wirklich leicht zu besiegen, da sie schon starken Schaden austeilen.
Fazit: Nicht zum leveln geeignet aber für die 4 Haustierglücksbringer lohnt der Kampf allemal.
Empfehlung: Kaiseradlerküken 1-1-2 , Rote Grille 1-2-2 und Alteracbräuhund 1-1-2
Hey! Vielen Dank. Dieser Kampf wurde ja leider verändert und gibt kaum mehr Erfahrung. Wir werden das sobald etwas Zeit übrig ist angehen und die Strategien hier aufräumen :-)
