I lost this fight twice. So I re-copied the rematch string, in case it had changed, and overwrote the original. I lost again and noticed that the string did not set my battle pets to the correct talents. I changed them manually to the suggested and it worked. I am not sure what happened. Usually, this will import the team with the correct talents already chosen. I did go and make sure my addons were all up to day and they are.

There is a known issue with Rematch (since it went from 4.0 to 5.0). I suggest you write some feedback on their website with what happened.
I believe they are struggling with finding the issue so feedback always helps with that.

Idk what has happened but last 2 weeks when this has been up this strategy has failed every time Guttergunk sits with about 1000 hp left when you use explode and then he will not die from immolate

I need a few things to help with this. Are you using Rematch and Scripts, are you using the script here and not a modified or simplified one from the comments. What breed are you using, Did you actually get off Explosion or did you die before using it, Did TMD get off Armageddon.

Only rematch, no script, and TMD does get to use Armageddon and explosion goes off too, but Guttergunk sits with 1000 hp once I use explode, renders him to have like 300 hp once immolate finishes dotting him

Don't know what happened but tried it 3 times in a row with the moves as described above, building in a 2nd Immolate on the Minfernal (P/S breed) to be on the safe side. Three times Guttergunk was left with 393 HP and no way a level 1 carry pet could kill it.

Tried a 4th time with only 1 Immolate on the Minfernal and Gutter was left with 624 HP so for me this strat didn't work. At least not with "any breed" （已編輯）

P/S is not the most optimal breed, and if you are not using scripts, you'll have less chance of doing a turn 5 skip so you'll always have to do a round 6 explode.

The only way for this to fail is for 末日風暴 to not go off, check out this sim here, it's very unlikely :)

Thank you for the response @WhyDaRumGone. I am using Rematch and was always importing scripts from here. But since the last update of Rematch, I cannot find how/where to import them anymore.

@Quintette I'm also using the latest Rematch, and I always import scripts by right clicking on the team in the list on the right, selecting "Create Script" from the menu that pops up, and then pasting the script in.

You do have to have the Pet Battle Scripts addon installed as well. tdScript has been abandoned by the original author, but @pkiller162 forked it and gave it a serious work over, including bringing it up to date. （已編輯）

Sorry for being a bit late responding but thank you @DavidG for this most helpful comment! I've been wracking my brains over not being able to import pet battle scripts anymore since recent Rematch reworks.

I hadn't realised that I did have the Pet Battle Scripts addon installed, but it was disabled :( Just enabled it again and now I'm able to import scripts. Yay!

Only thing left to do now is to get all my saved teams back into Rematch with scripts, but I'll tackle that as I encounter the specific battles. Thanks again, appreciated!

Edited: even though I was able to import the scripts now, upon entering a pet battle I don't get the automated script move suggestions that were previously there (if I recall correctly). Am I missing something? （已編輯）

My initial reaction is that it's either a setting in Pet Battle Scripts, or in Rematch. In my case, I don't get prompts per se, I just get an additional button on the UI next to the "Pass" buttun that makes the next move when you click it. Hitting the 'A' key also does the same thing.

In theory, any pet can be alt #2 provided:
* Has a move that does damage with a dot,
* Can explode Explode / Burst.

You haven't allowed for the DOT damage.

IE you will need:
use(282) [enemy.hp<1006 & enemy.aura(Flame Breath:500).exists]

If you just want to explode when you the explode will always kill you can use [enemy.hp.can_explode] （已編輯）
