I won with S/S Hermit Crab, it has 349 speed. Used 2/2/1 (Fish Slap, Bubble & Dive). Dive, then Bubble, Fish Slap until you can Dive again, Fish Slap until you die.

I don't have the Ghostshell Crab leveled so I subbed a Benax from another strat listed using -/1/2. Did use Spawn of G'nathus.

It went well with only one restart needed b/c I got stunned by Headbutt the first time. (edited)

had to use golden civet kitten as i didnt have mongoose pup but it didnt kill scales, not even close because of the -100% hit chance debuff that scales puts on you. But i somehow managed to finish the fight with the other 2 pets. 1st try

Seconded that this helps the strat a lot: you'll be out-speeding the first pet anyway so your Screech will land before you're blinded, and then you spend your blinded round going down for the Dive, which isn't accuracy-dependent.

Means you'll be ahead of him on speed for the whole battle, which gives you some extra HP and lets you cut a chunk out of Breaker before your mongoose goes down.

Replaced 2nd pet with Swamp Croaker 1,1,2. Managed to use Croak 2nd time right before i died. Then Gnatus just finished Breaker with Swallow You Whole. Got frogged by the 3rd pet, but still won.

So what I did here, is that I used BLOCK exactly when he was 1 move before that stun ability, than during first block ive used spike shiled and after that grasp, and than Swallow so Breaker was dead. after that its easy fight with spawn against stickers

I did this with a Mongoose (2, 1, 2) same strat as above. But as my second pet I had a Slimy Fangtooth (2, 1, 1). As my final pet I had a Tundra Penguin (1, *, *) and just pecked the last pet to death.

I don't understand why this strat has 5 stars..

I tried it 5 times:
- First two battles: got stunned = LOST
- 3rd and 4th tries: got frogged = LOST
- 5th try: no stuns, no frogs... but g'nathu died before last Step = LOST

had a lot of bad luck, got stunned and hexed etc, what a pain aquatic is
