Pen soloed this for me. if you haven't got supporting pets, just restart until you hit 3x on more than a few quills shots.

Does he have different pets when he doesn't have the world quest ? i'm going through this with no world quest up and the pets he's using are called: Shelly, Shelby and Sheldon. The strategies have worked so far but just wondering

Played out nicely as described except for Jade Owl killing Murray with the Lift-Off and then proceeded to kill Old Blue with the next one. Pen S/B, Owl B/B.

After bringing in Jade Owl and only having the 3rd enemy pet left with lift-off on cd, I chucked in a Hawk Eye before using Slicing Wind. Killed Old Blue in 3 turns.

My Enchanted Pen isn't leveled, so I used Nordrassil Wisp in the first slot. Evanescence in the same places, an Amplify Magic right after the first one, and then fill with Arcane Blast.

I used Nordrassil Wisp, Mailemental and Enchanted Broom for this since I was missing a few of the pets required. These three pets worked well.

Pen solo'd, the Turn 3+ comments before bringing in Jade Owl might mention a Priority; Evanescence was still 1 turn away for me, so I Quills'd, Cursed, then Evanescenced then spammed Quills until the fight was over.

Same here. I just soloed it with my Enchanted Pen. Just put Curse on each one, Evanescence when appropriate, Quills at all other times, and done.

Didn't have a maxed Enchanted Pen so I used a 2/2/2 Mailemental in the first slot. Hate Mail -> Junk Mail. Jade Owl comes in once Mailemental dies and uses Slicing Wind to finish off first pet. Kept up Hawk Eye, used Lift off on CD, and Slicing Wind otherwise. Jade Owl finished everything else off but it was close, so have a strong 3rd pet just in case.

The Enchanted Pen can definitely solo this fight, but the Owl is there in case Murray gets some decent hits in on the pen.
