didn't have a levelled mindslayer so i used an s/b arcane gorger (x,2,1) as my 3rd pet - amplify magic then mana surge, worked perfectly as as sub for me (edited)

I don't have the Enchanted Pen yet so I went w/ this strat b/c it uses pets I had leveled. I subbed Syd the Squid in the 3rd slot w/ Water Jet, Bubble & Whirlpool and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the strategy!

I second the modification of this strategy. Even with Trixy forcing in my Arcane Eye early, I was able to finish with 75% health on my Mini Mindslayer.

Tried twice with suggested strategy, both failed (could be RNG or my failure to miss the second Evanescence, but both times I got swapped while Trixy was still alive and would get its heal off before the eye could finish it off) ...went with same set-up, except changed Eye's interrupt to Mana Surge for slight damage instead, then allowed for the initial force swap and let the Arcane Eye kill Trixy and begin on Globs...after Eye died, finished off Globs with Hyjal Wisp and then was down to Mini and Nightmare, followed the strat and while close was able to survive while Mana Surge was on CD by using a pass until I got below Nightmares health, it healed, then I used Life Exchange, Inner, and Surge to finish him off... :)

I was able to use Syd the Squid (1/1/1) in place of Arcane Eye. I used bubble instead of interrupting gaze, started with whirpool against globs, and filled with water jet. I was even able to get another whirlpool off on Nightmare sprout before he killed me.

I used hyjal wisp, but used darkmoon eye instead of the arcane eye, and then used a disgusting oozeling 1,2,2 (could also use oily slimeling - same abilities)

Worked the same as above with my eye dying when syd the squid's first move. Then I sent in the oozeling then did as below.
Creeping ooze
Acidic Goo
Ooze touch
Ooze touch
Creeping ooze

nightmare sprout died - My oozeling did get low health - but didn't die :)
