Based on the strategy suggested by Naareuh on Wowhead. Tried 10 times, 5 times win and 5 times loss. The whole fight lasts about 150 seconds.

This fight is very annoying, and a number of things can (and will) go wrong. I've included as much information as possible, so you'll be able to identify where it goes wrong. The strategy is breed dependent. I have only completed it with S/S Sunsoaked Flitter and P/P Parasitic Boarfly. H/P Parasitic Boarfly should work (in theory), but it hasn't been tested. It's very possible it can be done with other breeds, given a bit of tweaking!

You have to if your Flitter isn't fast enough, but I still haven't beaten it this way.
