Proto-Drake Whelp
This pet can have the following breeds:
Breed
Health
Speed
Power
HP
1627
244
289
Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.
The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
Same family
Has the required skills
Has the required stats (if specified)
Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes
1 / 2
Strategy kindly suggested by Mark, thanks!
Low XP
This table shows the level increase for completing the fight with level 25 pets and one carry pet.
Partial level experience is not included in the calculation.
as at 8.2 the above strat and included td script work fine for a P/P anklerender - and are an epic fail for s/s. as noted there are "tweaks" for breeds other than p/p but it would be nice if we could get the breed above modified to reflect the script. (cheers)
Improved td script. uses explode when zepps HP is less than 300 instead of waiting for mech round, since vs faster ones that means it wont get explode off.
You can add in a "& enemy.speed.fast" to the explode then add back in the "& self.aura(244).exists". This will give you back that stall time if it's needed as well as allow for the net of HP instead of aura for if something is faster.
Tried four times:
- First time Darkmoon Zeppelin died in the mechanical phase before it could do Explode because the enemy second pet attacked first, and its attack was relatively hard.
- Second time it managed to Explode, but the enemy second pet did Dodge before it.
- Third time Zandalari Anklerender could not kill Dreadwalker because it died after first round of Hunting Party, and not after second.
- Fourth time it succeeded.
So - success rate of this tactic in my case was 25%.
My Zandalari doesn't have *quite* enough damage to get the kill, but I find that a 1-1-2 Golden Dawnfeather is absolutely perfect as pet 2. When the Zandalari dies, Black Claw and Shattered Defenses are still active on Dreadwalker, so a single Quills both knocks him down *and* eliminates the Mechanical resurrection.
And if the quills fails there, Sunlight hits hard enough against mech to get the kill anyhow.
My poor little SS Zandalari wasn't enough to kill Dreadwalker... but the team of Unborn Val'kyr (1-2-1), Lil' Ragnaros (1-2-1) and Emerald Proto Whelp (2-2-2) was perfect!.
Turn 1 - Doom
Turn 2 - Haunt
Turn 3 - Get out Rag and Flamethrower
Turn 4 - Conflagrate
Turn 5 - Sulfuras Smash,
Turn 6 - Bring out Proto Whelp and Bite - Dreadwalker should be deadx2 by now
Turn 7 - Emerald Presence
Turns 8-10 - Emerald Dream
Turn 11 - Emerald Bite
Turn 12+ - Continue to alternate between Biting and using Presence/Dream to keep your dragon alive. Once the fel buff wears off, you'll be unstoppable. You won't need the Val'kyr again, but she's there if you need her.
Tried this 4 times and it doesn't work. I'm going to assume you are using a B/B Unborn Val'kyr cause I only have a H/H. Also Rag died each time before he could get off Sulfuras Smash.
