Here's an alternative for anyone getting a little bored using the same strat over and over.

Fledgling Warden Owl 1-1-1
lvl8+ levelling pet (anything with over 554hp (or x1.5 if you don't want to worry about crits) except an Undead)
Firewing 2-1-2

Turn 1. Savage Talon
2. Call Darkness
3. Nocturnal Strike
Gulp dies
Egcellent comes in
1. Swap to levelling pet
2. Pass
3. Swap to Firewing
4-6. Murder
7. Scorched Earth
8. Pass. Egcellent Feigns Death
Red Wire comes in and Egcellent dies in the back row
1. Deep Burn. Firewing dies
Bring back Owl
1. Call Darkness
2. Nocturnal Strike. Red Wire dies and resurrects
3. Pass. Red Wire dies to Armageddon. Owl dies

A nice, easy, 15 round battle. Crits against you may hurt your chances as without crits, Owl is left with only 50hp when Red Wire casts Armageddon. Strat will definitely fail if crit on rounds 1 (Mudslide), 12 (Flame Jet) and 13 or 14 (Zap), but also watch for ridiculously excessive crits from Swarm in round 2 as you can soak 2 crits from it but not 3.

I would recommend ignoring line 3 'Turn 3. Missile'. It does minimal damage, makes little to no impact on how quickly Gulp dies to Breath, and its inclusion means you swap straight into a Frog Kiss.
I got this strat to work 1 in 5 times using it as-is. By taking out line 3, I won the battle 8 out of 10 attempts and 2 of the successful battles was with a poly from the 2nd Kiss.
I also used Thunderbolt on cd rather than trying to rigidly follow the strat since exactly when it's used won't affect anything.
I had a lvl15 leveller in slot 3 that easily soaked Armageddon.

I got Ancient Nest Guardian (1 1 1 ), Cogblade raptor (1 2 1) and Corrupted Nest Guardian (1 2 2) to work first time. Started with extra plating Feathered Frenzy, and went from there. It was close and I didn't get frogged so I'm not sure if that would sink the strat. Using the current suggested one wrecked my team.

Edit: Was able to repeat success. Still didn't get frogged tho.

Excellent strategy! Worked perfectly for me first try (though I believe if you get transformed from the first kiss it may be best to restart since that would throw off the strat.) When it works out it is very fun. :)

This strat no longer works. Or is very RNG. Tried 5 times today...no luck. If you MPD turns into a frog, restart, if any pet crits against you, restart. You don't crit, restart.

6th time it worked. I followed the strategy but Grixis did something different.

Worked perfect for me today. I used as third though instead of leveling up, I used Mechanical Yeti so I had critter damage for Excellent. I never even brought Tonk back in, swapped to Yeti to finish off Eg and Red Wire. Yeti (2,1,2)

worked perfectly fine for me. i didn't even get to my third pet, tho, so i probably got some lucky crits in. the only thing that didn't quite work out was that i didn't have thunderbolt to use the second time when the guide said to, so that got pushed back a full turn.

Third pet can be any level I think. It will be killed by Armageddon, but since it's mechanical... With a Safari hat, it gave my level 3 Personal World Destroyer 12555 XP, bringing it to level 18 :-)

Strange, for me the battle went exactly as described above, including the "your Tonk dies part", bringing in your third pet to get hit by Armageddon, killing Red Wire. Your 3rd pet revives, Egcellent comes back in, and gets killed by Minefield. I do remember my tonk was left with 48HP before the second Lock-On, so people commenting "my tonk died" probably recieved a crit too many somewhere. If your tonk survives in some way, you should switch to your third pet after "turn 3 - Lock-On - your Tonk dies"

Unfortunately a crit doesn't need to happen to kill the Tonk after only one Lock-On—Red Wire's Flame Jet proccing its big DoT can also do it, making the fight not end as shown in the guide and making it so you can't level a low-level pet. It's a 50% chance, so cross your fingers.

My tonk died after only casting the first Lock On. However, my 3rd pet also had Lock On, and cast the 2nd Lock On which killed Red Wire (in other words, the 1st and 2nd casts of Lock On can be cast by different pets).

Passing at the end didn't work for me - I had a Mechanical Frostbear as my third pet (2-2-2) and he finished things of nicely between Missile and Headbutt
