However, Legion pet trainers can also be fought at any time and STILL give tremendous XP. So when I saw this one up, conveniently situated in Dalaran, I wanted to make a nice carry strategy. The goal is to use the Harmonious Porcupette to help the Empowered Manafiend do as much damage to the enemy backline pets as possible while the low-DPS, single-targeting Itchy is active. Only rarely does Salty Bird not die to this, and sometimes even Grommet dies to the backline onslaught. It's like clockwork--you almost always get three cycles of Amplify Magic, Flux, Arcane Explosion. If Itchy gets a crit, you may be below 153 health on the third cycle, in which case you want to forego Amplify Magic as you won't get two more rounds to DPS. The Empowered Manafiend dies in a timely way, letting the carry pet see the front line, and Claw is then the best choice for killing Grommet.	Level 1+	2	0.0	1	152 2:32	18+

The imps can die to salty bird due to the high crit it gets. it has happened to me 2 times out the 20 attempts i made.

To be on the safe side Leveling Pet must have over 200 HP to survive two hits of Cyclone in the back line (300 HP if both crit). Dragonkin pets will survive every time as they get 50% less dmg from this ability but aquatic pet need 50% more HP.

i've made further improvement on the script for the leveling pet. if your leveling pet has >200 hp it might die %33 chance with this improved script. i tried it in 15 level 1 aquatic pet which are vulnerable against cyclone and got 10 wins and 5 draws. the script in the above has lower chance to survive with level 1 pet like %50 draw chance.

Tried one of every pet family at lvl 5 Above 300 HP and all of them got killed by the cyclone using Anomalus & Mechanical Pandraren Dragonling.

The fight does not really go as indicated by the moves as they're outlined in the strategy. The Void Nova CDs are all off except the initial one, and because of this you can't just Explode once Grommet comes in because they're not within the Explode threshold.

For anyone looking to use this, please keep the above in mind when using this strategy.

It's like clockwork--you almost always get three cycles of Amplify Magic, Flux, Arcane Explosion. The 2nd pet just needs to have a decent non dot damage skill in the first slot that is not undead or aquatic and have either a high damage or interrupt for the skills in 2nd and/or 3rd slot. Tested with Brilliant spore, Barnaby, Zanj'ir poker, netherspace abyssal, death adder hatchling, so far. They do need to be over 276 speed to be able to beat out grommet. To be on the safe side Leveling Pet must have over 200 HP to survive two hits of Cyclone in the back line (300 HP if both crit).
