This worked for me 4/29/23. I didn't get to use murder the innocent on the last enemy. I was able to get him down repeating the last 3 steps when they became available. He blew himself up at the end.

This actually worked!!! Tried pretty much ever other strat here multiple times. Just got Baa'l yesterday night. So left dungeon after first despawn, stoned Baa'l to 25, prayed for a second letter. (YES, was in the Plagued Critters trap!)
Even got to use Murder The Innocent before Baa'l died. No pet had made it past 2nd pet before, much less even taking off more than half the health.
The bubble was available right when that corpse explosion went off, and lucked out with not having a second one on the undead round, even though I think there was enough health on the G Scuttler to survive that too. (Not sure corpse explosion is supposed to be possible, twice, but watched it on my husband's screen, a few times earlier.)
