Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

2020-Oct-15 Jawbone finally available for testing, but right now a joke. I guess they did forget to add the passive they created for this fight https://shadowlands.wowhead.com/pet-ability=2383 We'll see if it'll be added later and what it does for the diffculty.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Thank you so much for this. I have been bringing a level 1 pet for the first ability, to also get some leveling done while this WQ gave a rare stone!

This one. This is the ONLY strategy require. [Black Claw] | [Flock]...every time. Never failed. Two attacks selected. 100%

Thanks. We don't get any major ability changes in 10.0.0 or 10.0.2 so approval is not really needed I'd say. When you find something that is not working. or just wanna thank someone, go on ;-)

Gunsumoa wrote on 2022-05-11 00:54:11

Solo'd it with a PS Iron Starlette. Toxic Smoke on cool down, Wind-Up/Supercharge/Wind -up until Mega Bite is dead.Very easy.

Gunsumoa wrote on 2022-07-07 00:44:22

Kun-Lai Runt.... Frost Shock when there is no Resilient up, Deep Freeze for stun then Take Down for the double damage. Use Take Down while Resilient is up your already faster and it does more damage than Deep Freeze. Repeat as necessary. With 2 you could easily lvl up a 3rd maybe with just one it self heals every round 56pts at 25. (edited)

Great strat :)
Can be used to level low level pets since they take no damage in round 1.
Just put levelinpet in 1 spot and use..

standby(#1) [ round =1 ]
change(#2) [ self(#1).played]
use(Black Claw:919) [ round =3 ]
use(Flock:581)
use(Predatory Strike:518)
change(next)

Only give ca 300 - 400 xp depending on your extra pet treats.. :(

IKKY is still OP <3

Works like a charm.

Toto wrote on 2021-01-11 17:43:22

I did this with a leveling pet in first slot, and it got 0 xp from it. Bummed.

Tequima

wrote on 2021-06-23 07:26:43

Discovered you need to leave the levelling pet in for 1 round (either using the Standby command in the tdscript or by clicking on "pass" or an ability) in order to get XP. If you change immediately to your Ikky, you don't get XP.

Fythra wrote on 2021-06-07 16:04:50

I learned that using an Enchanted Pen easily soloed this fight. Forboding Curse for turn 1 and then just use Quills the rest of the fight until Jawbone is dead.

Kiranar wrote on 2021-05-16 22:16:38

If you use Lil Taragosa using arcane blast then arcane winds and arcane blast till dragon buff pops and use surge of power should finish him off.

George

wrote on 2021-02-25 14:42:14

beautiful

Icarium wrote on 2021-01-11 14:29:18

Solo'd with PP Iron Starlette

Dorelei wrote on 2020-12-24 16:40:50

I put a lvl 24 levelling pet in the first slot, then swapped to Ikky. Ikky still solo'd fine, and leveling pet got 614 xp on Pet week (probably 300 ish on normal week).

wrote on 2020-12-21 04:49:29

Worked flawlessly, Ikky soloed the fight so I wouldn't worry about the power of the 2nd bird too much

Kalnoth

wrote on 2020-12-16 06:02:52

Ikky can solo it, sometimes

Dsidhe wrote on 2020-12-03 18:59:08

Soloed with a 1-2-2 P/S Stormbone whelpling. Mana Whelpling would do..

Taelon#2124

wrote on 2020-11-26 04:21:07

Ikky did indeed solo this for me but died at the end.

Tequima

wrote on 2020-12-03 18:09:28

Same, but with a levelling pet in the 2nd slot, got free XP for it.

Maceye wrote on 2020-11-28 18:01:05

Perfect! Thank you :)

Brocknor wrote on 2020-11-27 06:22:02

I have to assume Nyte did something wrong/chose wrong pet/ pet ability, because even with the nerf/change to Black Claw+Flock/Hunting Party, Ikky still solo'd this.

Nytemayre wrote on 2020-11-26 14:31:04

Not even close! Is this RNG dependant or something?

(OP) Lazey

wrote on 2020-11-26 21:45:02

Not even close to a helpful comment when it failed for you. Did it 3x times today without any problems, comments tell me it works for others as well... so maybe share more details so we get a chance to solve your ...something...
