Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

I used your strat but instead of explode I brought in a leveling pet switched back to the zep and continued from there, worked great and got levels on my just yesterday acquired Sunflower pet to get some levels on it, I won any pet leveling tokens so it got my Sunflower to 18 in one go with those in addition (edited)

darrthbt wrote on 2023-02-11 16:38:02

Sunreaver is all you need. Just like other beasts it can solo: Lightning then Haywire.
When it makes you debuff your own team take the -25% hp option instead of the skill lockout. (edited)

I don't have a Sunreaver yet, I'm glad there are alternative strategies available.

Did they change something? I cannot defeat him anymore as of today (November 1, 2022) on EU. Worked like a charm for years, and now I cannot even defeat his second pet :O

Best and easiest for me (great if anyone doesnt have a Starlette). Runeforged Servitor 2/2/2. Wind up, Supercharge, Call Lightning, Wind up. And option 1 on round 2 (25% health). so, 1, Option 1, 2, 3, 1. Survives with no problem. (edited)

could one virtually slot a lvl pet in the middle to get it XP, or is it not enough to be worth it?

(OP) DragonsAfterDark

wrote on 2021-02-19 02:03:43

In my opinion it's not worth it, but if you're of the mindset that any xp is good xp, then you could try to put a level pet between. I don't know how it would play out with the Mind Games ability selection, though. Adding a swap might cause the selection to come up again, at which point it could cause damage to your level pet and/or issues with the Iron Starlette's moves.

Adaren

wrote on 2021-06-07 08:30:27

Instead of trying to slot it in the middle you just add a condition in the script for the Iron Starlette to explode when below a certain health (typically around 540) instead of supercharge. might take a round or two extra but it is still a guaranteed victory.

TD script did not want to work for me. After explode it didn't want to pick the Iron Starlette.

(OP) DragonsAfterDark

wrote on 2020-11-24 23:18:53

You'll need the manual update for tdscripts if what you have isn't working. Copied this and tested on my tdscript and it worked fine.

Xionyus#1667

wrote on 2020-11-25 14:36:20

It's because Johra and I are using tdscripts with Rematch addon, which hasn't been updated sadly.

(OP) DragonsAfterDark

wrote on 2020-11-25 16:18:45

I'm using tdScripts with Rematch and it's working just fine after the manual fix.

The fix for tdScripts from Super:

Temporary Fix for TD Battle Pet Script Addon

1 -- Download link below
2 -- Find tdBattlePetScript in your addons folder, delete everything in it
3 -- Drag everything from the zip into the tdBattlePetScript folder
4 -- Do a /reload ingame

https://github.com/DengSir/tdBattlePetScript/archive/shadowlands.zip

I will be trying to get this onto Curse ASAP! Let me know if any problems -- Super

Konstapeln

Thank you so much - works like a charm after this update.

Mot

wrote on 2020-12-03 07:18:57

It seems the download link above is outdated: It gives me 9.0, whereas my installed tdbattlescript (via CurseBreaker) is already 9.0.1.

(OP) DragonsAfterDark

wrote on 2020-12-03 21:09:49

And the 9.0.1 update broke enemy ability conditionals for tdscripts.

Mot

wrote on 2020-12-03 21:58:58

Ah, OK. So the point is to revert to an older version, instead of updating. Didn’t get that, sorry.

(OP) DragonsAfterDark

wrote on 2020-12-03 22:40:02

I believe Super is working on a fix for the current update. It just means some scripts need to be adjusted to not use enemy ability conditionals, or need if/endifs with those conditionals specifying that enemy as active. It's a tedious workaround, but it is one :)
